Karl Lagerfelds cat Choupette. 2 Maids, one iPad and a Personal Diary?

Karl Lagerfeld may be the head of the Queen Bitch designers in the fashion world but he has a soft spot when it comes to his 9-month old Siamese ‘Choupette’.

According to WWD ‘Choupette’ is BEYOND spoiled. Karl was giving a rare interview about his book ‘Little Black Jacket’ for his Chanel line, when ‘Choupette’ stole the spotlight.

According to Mr. Lagerfield Choupette is like a kept woman.

He is quoted as saying

“She has two personal maids, for both night and day,” he told WWD. “She is beyond spoiled.”

“She doesn’t touch my food,” he says. “She doesn’t want to eat on the floor.

The spoiled little Siamese eats with Lagerfield at the dinner table daily. I guess she knows her human and how to work him.

“When I am not there, the maids take down, in little books, everything she did, from what she ate to how she behaved, if she was tired and if she wasn’t sleeping,” Lagerfeld says.

He adds that “We have almost 600 pages,” and one day “it could be funny to make a little book of Choupette’s diary.”

Choupette is no one trick spoiled kitty. She also is incredibly smart.

My Vanity Fair is in the mail. I am really looking forward to reading the article on Kristin Stewart. Here’s why;

Kristen Stewart dishes shit on shit and curses about a million times in it.  Next time keep your f bombs in check darling.

“I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph,” Kristen Stewart tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Ingrid Sischy in July’s cover story. “I get some serious sh-t about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker! That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like sh-t in half my photos, and I don’t give a f–k. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.’ I don’t care about the voracious, starving sh-t eaters who want to turn truth into sh-t. Not that you can say that in Vanity Fair!”

Well hunny, you were wrong. You can say that. You see Vanity Fair is a fairly liberal magazine. They will print your bad behavior in an insanely well written article you WILL regret for the rest of your life.

Of course it’s their job to keep it cool and not make her look bad. I appreciate that. It’s why I read Vanity Fair and not TMZ.

Madonna and Jean Paul Gaultier are Creating New Chaos Du Jour

Oh, I can hear all the gays in West Hollywood screaming with joy as I write this. Madonna, our diva, yoga queen, gay icon and on her off days, goddess, is deep in rehearsals for her new world tour.

Now this is enough to make everyone scream with terror and delight but the real news is the costumes, once again will be created by his holiness, Jean Paul Gaultier. Who, well, J’adore more than Dior.

Not only is he a design master but at her past concerts he brought this iconic outfit.

And more recently this hotness

Yes, this should make for a way hotter concert because JPG and Madonna work together in a perfect symbiosis.

I know I am not the first fashion/event blogger writing this, but I do have an edge. I just caught this tweet from @JPGaultier yesterday:

Yes! Jean Paul Gaultier posted the first exclusive pictures of Madonna’s fabulous, dragtastic crew doing rehearsals in the new costumes. And this diva bitch showed up.
Frankly I would pay to see this fan master whoop it up, but Madonna is a nice bonus. Note also the use of JPGaultier’s traditional Breton stripes on boobs up front. This look’s too good.
So I leave you fashionisto/a’s with this bit of Lady M and her new music. Are you going for the costumes or music? Oh, who cares.

The World is ‘Metropolis’ Obsessed

Finding new blogs I feel ‘worthy’ of posting on here is difficult. I prefer quality, couture, art and the truly beautiful oddities in life. This is becoming much easier as I find that art nouveau is making a resurgence.

As I browsed the never-ending internet I found a few images from Interview Magazine that are  a must share worth.The underlying theme in these bring forth and reflect images from the 1920’s cult classic ‘Metroplolis’.

For those without the background knowledge, ‘Metropolis’ was a unique and amazing film that brought both art nouveau and the artistic Bauhaus art of the time together with, well robots and the concept of a Utopian society riddled with secret robots. This later inspired movies such as ‘Blade Runner’, ‘The City of Lost Children’ and every A.I movie…EVER.

More importantly it has shaped fashion and created an obsession with neck plates, chokers and breast plates as seen in this amazing set of photos by Mert &Marcus.

Amazing, indeed, but the following set brought sultry, sex and the ultimate fantasy to the human eye for me.

 This last photo especially as the model is decked head to toe in lace mask and bodysuit by the demigod designer known as Alexander McQueen.

This is the kind of inspirational clothing I need in my wardrobe. The complexity of design mixed with pure eroticism.

Adolfo Sanchez FW 2012 lookbook, casual, comfortable and dead sexy

I love following new and unique brands and emerging designers. There is something fascinating watching the mutation of clothing and the shapes and style it takes as a designer becomes more knowledgeable and climbs higher in the industry.

I have been watching the Adolfo Sanchez line since around 2009-2010. Since then he has surpassed his peers and is conquering the competition. He has gone for the a small shop and design studio to a showroom, shows in Paris, New York and brought great fashion back to LA.

I am blessed to know such immeasurable talent and he has just sent me his uber gorgeous Lookbook for his new FW 2012 collection.

Katy Perry is ‘goth’….oh WTF?

Not so recently, Katy Perry slit from Russell Brand. We know that it was ‘rough’ and ‘hard on her’, but this PR stunt queen is going a little too far.

Shedding her ‘latex cupcake’ image Katy Perry has recently shown up at the Kids Choice awards and the ‘ENT’ red carpet looking like she just listening to her first Marilyn Manson album.

What do we think? I’m just going to jump ahead a few weeks of gossip/fashion blogs and say;

NO ONE IS BUYING IT.

Katy Perry is a pop queen wrapped up in a slice of religion. She is what Disney would have gotten if they had a fetish for latex and Snoop Dogg. I adore Katy and her ‘California Girls’ cotton candy video and cotton candy hair. There is something impossibly right about that as her ‘image’.

Too much smokey eye on this girl and black screams ‘bad PR who should be fired’. It’s not interesting, it just got a goth/glitter gay make over at Glambert’s house.

I say quit trying to emote through your makeup. Bring back our little slice of pop queen and leave the goth/fetish look to the professional’s Katy.

Daphne Guinness + David LaChapelle = Inspiration

I believe that it important to remember that we live in one of the most exciting era’s of Fashion. The 21st century has brought us some of the most important Fashion icons since Coco Chanel.

I wanted to share some of the mad genius that is being devised now with two of my favorite and most important influences. David LaChapelle and Daphne Guinness.

David LaChapelle’s imagery is creationism at it’s best. Color, vivid imagery and a twisted mind has set him apart and brought him to the forefront of both art and photography.

Daphne Guinness, although the heiress of the Guinness fortune, has become an icon in Fashion as a model, collector of couture, designer, creator of her own make up line for MAC and best friend of the late Alexander McQueen but continues to inspire.

Together they conceived one of the most stunning photos I have ever seen.

Guinness Submerged herself repeatedly underwater for up to two minutes in order for LaChapelle to get a perfect shot.

The imagination is limitless. Dream big darlings. This proof you can always exceed even your own expectations with inspiration.
