Marc Jacobs and His New Love “Dot”

Don’t worry it’s not what you think. Or perhaps it’s exactly what you think if you are in the know. Marc Jacobs released his new signature fragrance to the public, “Dot”.

I love Daisy. It’s light, youthful, flowery with a hint of girly. What is so different about ‘Dot’? How will this fragrance captivate and enthrall Marc’s audience?

New look at Herve Leger, Pre-Fall 2012 ‘Power of Seduction’

Herve Leger comes at us with a powerful collection for Pre-Fall 2012.

Labeled the ‘Power of Seduction’ it brings deep hues of mustard, red’s and blue’s with new styles that branch beyond just a Bandage dress. Particularly the ombre dresses and his ‘Clio Bandage dress with detailing’ in his bandage dresses.

A sexy deviation, Herve Leger has brought a fresh new style into his collection. The ‘Paz leather pant. By showing off his design skills, here truly has shown that ‘Leger’ has the power of seduction.

My Vanity Fair is in the mail. I am really looking forward to reading the article on Kristin Stewart. Here’s why;

Kristen Stewart dishes shit on shit and curses about a million times in it.  Next time keep your f bombs in check darling.

“I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph,” Kristen Stewart tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Ingrid Sischy in July’s cover story. “I get some serious sh-t about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker! That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like sh-t in half my photos, and I don’t give a f–k. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.’ I don’t care about the voracious, starving sh-t eaters who want to turn truth into sh-t. Not that you can say that in Vanity Fair!”

Well hunny, you were wrong. You can say that. You see Vanity Fair is a fairly liberal magazine. They will print your bad behavior in an insanely well written article you WILL regret for the rest of your life.

Of course it’s their job to keep it cool and not make her look bad. I appreciate that. It’s why I read Vanity Fair and not TMZ.

Steve Madden thinks he is Immature and the Olsens are a ‘PAIN’. They are. I used to work there.

I love writing about the Olsen twins because I used to work for them.

I can tell you from experience Ashley is sweet and smart, Mary Olsen is part of the ‘IDGAF’ tribe and 75% of their success should go to Jill their awesome handler (not pictured here).

Steve Madden collaborated with them for the last few years on shoes for their Elizabeth and James fashion line.

Recently Steve Madden had spotted the line ‘Superga’ in Europe and bonded over it with Ashley Olsen (the brains of the sisters, TRUST ME) cause she was all, “I love Superga”. Madden was hypnotized by Ashley’s superior twin power, transfixed by her shiny pearls and according to the NYPost said,

‘I’ll get it for you, I’ll bring it to America and you’ll be my creative director.’

How can you say no to the midget Goddess’ of messed up fashion?

Problem being although Madden insisted the girls were mature and ‘wordly’ for 25 years old, he also declared them a ‘pain in the ass’.

 They are difficult. They are exacting. They are a pain in the ass. But they’re very good though. No. They’re awesome.

I fully agree they are messed up and slightly bitchy, BUT they are just perfectly, sugary sweet. See how I did that? I suggest that every bitchy fashion queen learn from Madden. Remember it’s ‘OK’ to rip your business partner apart. Just end the comment with a positive and no one will be the wiser.

I’m looking forward to see what Madden and the twins come up with. Their new ‘Superga’ collection should be interesting. Despite the ‘pain in the ass’ part Dualstar Ent. is a thriving business, FOR A REASON.

Here’s to ‘bitchy queen’ Steve Madden whose shoe’s are forever fabulous and ALWAYS uncomfortable. Here’s to the ‘pain in the ass’ Olsen’s and their next billion dollar clothing venture.

Electric Blue Nail French Fab, With a Little Help From Orly

I have recently gone from Sephora freak to Ulta convert. Partially because you don’t have an overly done make up queen asking you if you need help every five seconds.  I appreciate Sephora, and it is my first love, but I recently saw Ulta toting my new summer nail crush.

Every girl knows getting a french Mani is best done by the awesome Korean ladies down the street. Without them most of us girls would be wandering the streets and clubs picking bad nail polish off and flicking the chips in our drinks and at strangers. It’s ugly, but true.

Now they have everything packaged and ready to go for ladies who want it all and don’t want blah nude nails. In electric silver and blue. Boring nails be damned I am straight up going out and buying this. All the little overdone girls from WeHo will quiver at the mightiness of my French mani. And it will be blue…er, and silver!

New This Wedding Season “Bridal Uggs”

It hurt’s me to type this, but it is true as verified by the Huffington Post, there are 100% authentic…Bridal Uggs.

Now I have always been on the fence as far as Uggs are concerned. I see they have a place in casual, laundry day, late night supermarket run and OMG it’s actually cold wear in CA. Although I refuse to own a pair, they are not Crocs and therefore, tolerable.

Bridal Uggs, though? Welllllll…….take a look at the official collection.

Complete with pretty white flowers to let you know they are ‘BRIDAL’ and not to be worn as a normal Ugg these babies include a lovely slipper Ugg, a shiny opalescent sequined Ugg and my favorite.

A Swarovski crystal Ugg that screams ‘I have too much money and no class’.

I suppose bridal parties like this made it inevitable.

So carry on Uggs. Destroy all that is sacred and turn yourself into Crocs. I hope the designers put an end to this and make this 2012 Bridal Collection ‘Limited Edition’.

This certainly tested my gag reflex writing this blog. Here’s hoping Ugg stop’s before it’s too late.

Adolfo Sanchez FW 2012 lookbook, casual, comfortable and dead sexy

I love following new and unique brands and emerging designers. There is something fascinating watching the mutation of clothing and the shapes and style it takes as a designer becomes more knowledgeable and climbs higher in the industry.

I have been watching the Adolfo Sanchez line since around 2009-2010. Since then he has surpassed his peers and is conquering the competition. He has gone for the a small shop and design studio to a showroom, shows in Paris, New York and brought great fashion back to LA.

I am blessed to know such immeasurable talent and he has just sent me his uber gorgeous Lookbook for his new FW 2012 collection.

Rihanna partners with Armani to create 2nd collection

Looks like the music industry can’t keep their hands out of fashion. Kanye dove in deep and now RiRi has launched her second collection collaborating with Armani. According to British Vogue;

Rihanna has teamed up with Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear to design another collection, imbued with her own boyish, dressed-down style.

Although I greatly respect Rihanna as an artist I am not so sure about her heading too far in the world of fashion. Most of her really amazing costumes have been designed by the UK’s resident surrealist Gareth Pugh. I am 100% behind her creating a new hit single, but the thought of her designing underwear?
