2014 Golden Globes Nominations and Red Carpet Live Stream #RedCarpet #Fabulous

It’s my favorite time of year. Award Season in LA. That means the roads get shut down, people buy ridiculously extravagant things, everyone is primping and preening, and all the fabulous actors come out of their nicely nestled homes. It also means awards.

Although I am mostly in it for the dresses, this year the nominations are actually feature some astounding actors and actresses who, dare I say it, deserve recognition.

We’re talking Jessica Lange, John Voight, Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson.

Also, my favorite eye candy Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper, Liev Schrieber and Christian Bale.

We’ve already picked out our favorites at my household in the nominations. If you’d like to keep up with the red carpet dresses and nom’s here what YOU need.

Here is the live stream to the Red Carpet (Good luck trolling the net for a live stream for the show. It’s damn near impossible.)

Very Lovely Soles for Everyone. #TresChic #HappyFeet

High fashion has my heart and shoe’s, my encompassing, undying love. As much I may love wearing high fashion shoes that scream couture, the reality is I walk. A lot. And have business meetings. And more business meetings. Followed by a red carpet event.

So…what’s a high fashion girl to do when she needs to combine functional with fabulous all in one day?

Get some Very Lovely Soles.

Coral Shoe Best Seller

Thankfully someone heard my plight.

Crocs be damned, and flip-flops shelved. Very Lovely Soles have come to my rescue with cute, chic flat’s that can cross over from me walking 3 miles to a business meeting.

The brainchild of designers Vanessa Seide and Rachel Traylor, Very Lovely Soles are gorgeous, simple, clean in design and most importantly, COMFORTABLE. With a combined 30+ years in the footwear industry these ladies combined their talents and created a winner in the land of footwear.

I love these embellished flat’s in slate. They have just the right amount of class.  I can mix them with my insane sense of style.

(Added bonus: If I am wearing this towards the end of fashion week I won’t get nasty stares from my designer friends. Yes they are that awesome.)

EMBELLISH-SLATE1
I’m sold!

Which one’s are your favorites?

How to know you have the right flats? They come with a tiny hummingbird logo to remind you how sweet they really are. Too cute. My Japanese friends would label these super ‘Kawaii’ aka too cute for words.

Now for the sad news….

They are only available in Larchmont, New York and selected boutiques, OR…..ONLINE. Hooray for online. We love web shopping. So stop crying and get out your credit card ladies it’s time to go online shoe shopping (again…hooray).

Click the shoes below and get a pair online. They are selling out fast!

Cyndi Lauper Does ‘Vanity Fair’ Italia and Steals MAC #KinkyBoots #VivaGlam

As Cyndi Lauper tackles Broadway with her new notorious musical ‘Kinky Boots’ her gorgeous face is everywhere. Not only has she scored a lead on Broadway but she also conquered a photo shoot as MAC’s new ‘Viva Glam’ spokeswhore with an almost nude, very skinny, Lady Gaga.

Check out these two new photo shoots of Cyndi Lauper looking too fabulous for everyone (including Gaga)!

Happy Monday – David Guetta Play Hard (feat. Ne-Yo & Akon) #MusicMonday #WorkItOut

david-guetta-play-hard
I don’t think there is a single song I have ever disliked by David Guetta. He has been the mix master to my soul since around 2000 something and he has ‘it’ factor up the yin yang.

To get you inspired and get your Monday freak on I thought I would share a gem. It’s ‘Play Hard ‘featuring Ne-Yo and Akon. Even if the song ate it the video is worth watching.

Ne-Yo-Akon-David-Guetta-Play-Hard-Video-Still

No damn worries. The song is magic and the video ought to get you started the right-wrong way this morning.

Slam your coffee and put on your headphones because we’re about to bust it ought Guetta style. Video is SFW, BUT has twerking w a side of crunk. Beware the evil boss who doesn’t like booty shakin’ and sick dancers.

Buckle up….

Goat Hair is the New Black, #ShoeSunday

It’s mid-way through summer and FW 2012/2013 is upon us. Fashion moves fast and even though I have only used my bikini once I’m already looking at my new winter wardrobe want’s.

It was my Twitter (shameless plug:follow me @HeathyrWolfe) that keyed me in to my new fashion fetish. Goat hair accessories.

Above is the Marni goat hair bag. Cute but a little plain.

I think it’s better to accessorize with something like this.

Jimmy Choo’s version;

Raaaaawwwr. Purr. Yes please.

And for a little flair in the shoe department, because no man or woman is complete without good shoe. I offer you the Yves Saint Laurent ‘Mohawk’ shoe.

or in blue

Oh sure, scream at me for being not PC. Peta has probably blacklisted me from any of their functions at this point. I know it’s from a cute(?) furry critter, but you know you secretly yearn for it too.

Consider the trend won’t you? I think we need more of this for fall and less of this.

(This is ACTUALLY Christian Lacroix)

Dontcha think?

Send in any new fall fetishes to Heathyrw@gmail.com and I might just blog ’em.

Shoes You Need – Alegandra G.

I try to keep my shoe addiction to a limit. I have 40 some odd pairs. That is low-key for me. Unfortunately as the next Imelda Marcos, I have found something to fuel my addiction. Alegandra G. Shoes.

Why do you need this. Let’s use a visual example.

Color is #thesex.

Add spikes and I will break my bank account

Feast your eyes on the SS 2012 collection’s ‘Asia H’Orange’.

This follows the trend of EVERY summer EVERYWHERE, bright colors. In summertime you want to wear amazing clothes that pop. Seeing this shoe made me think of warmth, sun and the ultimate LA thing, wearing next to nothing with a pair of hot shoes.

If you are looking for a little more class and not sass the appropriately named ‘Bradshaw’, is my next want of the moment.

I swear I could wear this with everything.

And if you are looking for a nice summer, sweet lacy look, this shoe is deliciously girliy. I like that it’s demure without being boring Boho.

‘The Kimberley’

If needed, it comes in classic black or tan for the fashionista who needs a calmer, gentler wedge.

Need another reason?

Alegandra G. shoes are starting to become of celebs. Because these demand sexy clients they have donned the feet of Adrianne Curry, Taryn Manning and the cute Lil Mama (think Nicki Minaj in wee form).

Signature sole’s with black and white stripes, shoe seduction and celebrities are grabbing these. And so am I.

Frankly I walk around LA too much so I think I’ll grab these ‘Amber’ spiked leopard print flats.

As a bitch on the go I need something comfortable and dangerous. This will keep the mugger’s away.

Street sweet and smart. Who is with me on this new shoe obsession?

Black Milk for your Sickness
