The MTV Movie Awards are upon this which means terrible traffic. For once it’s not being held in Hollywood, but at the prestigious Gibson Theater in Universal City. This means the ever-so-quiet and innocent Valley will be over run with paid snipers, helicopters and annoying traffic stops for once.
As much as I could seriously bag on this event (the Hilton sister will be there, too easy) I am actually thankful for it. We could be stuck watching the Queen’s ‘Jubilee’ like most of Europe and ALL of my poor friends in the UK.
Here’s what’s in store.
‘Twilight’ and ‘Hunger Games’ will be battling it out. Personally I hope ‘Hunger Games’ wins. Even though it is a BLATANT rip off of ‘Battle Royale’ I still want to see Kristen Stewart make one face other than ‘stoned/pouty’ or ‘awake’. Her losing might jolt her awake long enough to do ‘pissed’.
Johnny Depp will be there looking like a mad, lost, French artist among plastic peasants. He will be gorgeous as usual in the crazy gay pirate kind of way and receiving the ‘Generation Award’. This means he is so hot that even your grand kids will fantasize over him and your Gma probably does. Scary but true.
Also ‘Bridesmaids’ is fighting for Best Movie and I am sure there will be shenanigans.

I think the adult industry has a bad rap. I am sure that years of puritanical rules and consistent lessons of ‘sex is bad and dirty’ a la conservative myth’s might have something to do with that. None of this is true. They are not only regular people but they are cuter, better dressed and sometimes better behaved than a lot of fashion people and celebrities icons of the moment.
Both girls were dressed really nicely and were completely sweet, personable and professional. About a minute after I got there both girls attention was drawn outside.
Turns out some sweetheart of a food truck guy drove all the way from the Valley to bring/make Sophie Dee an ice cream sundae! Awwwz with a side of ‘how-effin-cute-is-that?’
There were a few industry photogs outside and Imani Rose went out to pose with them. Seem’s got distracted by an uber enthusiastic and sweet fan.
Isn’t she friggin gorgeous? I had no idea adult stars were this well dressed and rocked the pretty so hard. Don’t believe the myth about porn = trashy kittens. These girls are sexy-licious and they OWN IT.
The rest of the afternoon these girls got swamped with fans, interested lookie loo’s and random shoppers who got drawn in by the girls.
Really it’s amazing to see these girls work their asses off in a non adult aspect. Their dedication to a rocking hot movie industry and performances in both adult AND mainstream movie’s is a full-time gig.

As I took my walk west down Hollywood blvd chatting on my phone I noticed, traffic was crap as usual. Seem’s they had closed Hollywood blvd (again), for an event as a local, I don’t care about (again).
I saw a few banners advertising the ‘Gumball 3000’ auto show and yawned for dramatic effect.
It wasn’t until my daily walk that I noticed THIS insanity.
That was Franklin ave. by Runyon. As I descended to Hollywood blvd on my home stretch it got worse.
As I walked up Hollywood blvd. from Fresh n’ Easy it was gridlocked at La Brea and as far west as Camino Palermo give or take a few blocks.
Yes even the LAPD could not get out of their car to beat me up for taking a picture of them. Traffic was THAT bad.
Why would an auto show/car rally much up traffic and Hollywood Blvd.? This is no big movie premiere.
The reason why? This guy got bored. (frigging Millionaires).

Today is my birthday loves and this little redhead is taking a day off. Today I will be taking it easy, loving myself (no, not that way) and doing what ever I can dream up on a ridiculous budget.

Last month I went to the XRCO adult awards at The Highlands. Sadly my night got cut short but before it did I had a chance to see and ask about some of the fashion they wore. Surprisingly it was as far from the Hollywood Blvd. slut dress as you can get.
Despite wearing a completely lace thong and catsuit (yeah I know it’s sexy, so I am giving you pics) Diamond Skin isn’t your porntastic girl at all. She is actually a heavy-duty shoe-ista.

I was happily surprised to find out that although porn stars like bling, they don’t trash it up at all. In fact these ladies were wearing the most elegant and classy necklaces I have ever seen.
I assure you these are classy ladies who know how to bring fashion with a little reaction. Brilliant, beautiful and sometimes naked.
Never under-estimate a porn star. She just might be the girl you are fighting at Barney’s over the limited edition shoes you want. Chances are she’ll win the smack down too.
I love following new and unique brands and emerging designers. There is something fascinating watching the mutation of clothing and the shapes and style it takes as a designer becomes more knowledgeable and climbs higher in the industry.
I have been watching the Adolfo Sanchez line since around 2009-2010. Since then he has surpassed his peers and is conquering the competition. He has gone for the a small shop and design studio to a showroom, shows in Paris, New York and brought great fashion back to LA.
I am blessed to know such immeasurable talent and he has just sent me his uber gorgeous Lookbook for his new FW 2012 collection.

Hollywood is the land of dreams, nightmares and all surreal and plastic things coming to life. We are a land of living dolls and beauty queens. If you mix the VIP nightlife, add a dash of make up queen and some really good music you get Mr. Black LA.
I have to give endless amounts of props to Luke Nero. It’s his baby. He started it in NYC and made a seamless transition to LA. I am happy to say this is one of the only free clubs in Hollywood, is at the LUSH club Bardot, has an open vodka bar from 9:30-10:30pm (sorry it’s 21+ kids) and has waiters…in ass less chaps.
Why it took me this long to go I will never know, but thankfully my friend, and resident DJ Josh Peace got me to go. He is a king amongst men and his sets are professional, well mixed (how many DJs do not know what they fade slider is?!!) and he’s a great guy.
The crowd is a perfect mix of drag queens, make up queens, gays, straights, rockers, Lenora Claire, Luke Nero, art geeks and the just plain normal. For this reason I got fabulously dressed up in my Adolfo Sanchez spike hat, my Toxic Vision Corset and the biggest heels I could find.
During my night I got compliments, picked up and twirled by a gorgeous 20 something, flirted with by boys, girls and talked to a completely interesting and diverse crowd of club goers.
When I had to leave early, the dance floor was packed and it was difficult to get out the door. I said a sad goodbye to Josh Peace who was playing and amazing set and was in the ‘DJ Zone’. we said a sad good-bye to the nice ass less waiter with mickey mouse ears and headed out for the walk home. (Don’t drink and drive please)
Will I go back? Absolutely. Tuesday nights are now reserved. If you want to find me I will be dancing the night away at Mr. Black’s LA at Bardot in Hollywood. Luke Nero has created the perfect club to get your freaky geek on. No matter what you are looking for it’s there. Just be careful what you ask for. You will definitely get it.
