Met Gala Goes #Punk with Punk:Chaos to Couture Exhibit #RedCarpet #Best #Worst #PunkIsNotDead

For those of you hiding under a rock, the Met paired with Vogue Editor Anna Wintour and several other amazing CFDA board members to present “Punk: Chaos to Couture” and opened for the annual Met Gala yesterday.

Vogue had a live stream, twitter was a-tweeting and I was live tweeting my likes and dislikes of yesterdays red carpet. What? You weren’t tweeting with me? Well then go add me at @HeathyrWolfe before you start feeling guilty.

Icons of Fashion, TV and the Big Screen showed up in droves. Some fashionable, some fashionably late. Most were punk to gills as they should have been. Vivienne Westwood made a show and an amazing political plight for Bradley Manning, the soldier at the centre of the Wikileaks drama,

The piece-de-resistance was Sarah Jessica Parker. She put a smile on everyone’s face with a mohawk head piece that was vintage Phillip Treacy, a Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles Deacon Dress dress and kick your ass plaid thigh-high boots.

Vanessa Hudgens, ex-Disney kid, Ex of Zac Efron and Ex-High School Music twenty something girl. She’s go loads of ca$$$h, and a career that has been a really good PR stunt. She’s boho, cute and a Coachella kind of gal.

So where in the holy hell did this come from. Here we have a 90’s throwback video with a day-glo twist that hurts my ears, eyes and makes my skin crawl. I’m not sure if this is three minutes of a cheer, or a song. I think secretly Disney had something to do with this mess. And it is VERY not cute.

It seems that YLA are actually the ones who are in charge of co-cheering this song into existence and producing it. Although I give them props for using the B list tween for her fame to move up, this was pretty much a bad move. YLA needs to take their name off this hot 90s mess. This was not meant to be seen by the public girls. And our tween superstar Vanessa? Vanessa Hudgens needs to stick to tween moves with hot leading men.

Every Disney kid has to try to put out a hit single. Sorry Vanessa H. fans, this is definitely a miss.

I love D Squared. An Italian clothing collaboration by twins Dean and Dan Caten (born Dean and Dan Catenacci). Based in Milan these twins are not only fraternal but identical and specialize in the ultra-modern and chic. What’s not to love about D2? Nothing. They are perfection, embodied in fashion and willing to prove it.

Eric Benet is an amazing musician with a vision. He is also a believer in timeless fashion and style. So much that he took his vision a step further to make a new, amazing video called ‘Music Meets Style’ (just released on Esquire.com).

True Blood that is.

Yes, True Blood Season 6 promo trailer has been released, and it looks like the writer’s went back to their roots. No sparkling, lot’s of blood, sex and lots of weird. Vampires, fairies and brujas oh my!. Add a few burning buildings and a really pissed off Billith, it seems we are back in business.
But wait. No we aren’t. Here’s the kicker. Season 6 of True Blood doesn’t start until frigging June 13th. And the season will be extra short with a rumored 10 episodes. WTH?
Until then will be forced to watch network TV (except Game of Thrones).

Nope.  I have to say after the first 15 seconds I started closing my eyes and letting my head fall to one side. Let’s just say ballads are not Riri’s strong point. And the video? It really is….something.

I really have to give props to H&M. They are not only killing the middle market for affordable and damn good-looking clothing, but they are killing it with having David Beckham doing their ad campaign’s. Ad a talented Guy Ritchie making the video and this was a win. Also slightly hilarious.

This campaign video brings us Beckham not only half-nude, but wet in his undies looking….well like David Beckham. I love the Ferris Bueller element and the fact that they threw in a few Hollywood jokes for us In LALALand.

Abs ass and all, This is a sure win for H&M, every blogger, all women kind and of course a very, VERY luck Victoria Beckham.

Thank you David Beckham. The world is a better place because of this.

Take Lanvin’s new campaign video. Although it screams hot, sexy fashion Alber Elbaz decided to have some fun and do a commentary Skype style. Making Lanvin’s new campaign not just luscious preening models, but a little more interesting insight into a creative designers mind.
