Streetwear may be a the new black but Men’s fashion, in my eyes, will always be about timeless, key pieces and classic style. The fedora will be forever classy, the tie and bow-tie represent class and can be chosen to show personality, and the classic three-piece suit will always be the ultimate in being a dapper don.

Eric Benet is an amazing musician with a vision. He is also a believer in timeless fashion and style. So much that he took his vision a step further to make a new, amazing video called ‘Music Meets Style’ (just released on Esquire.com).

Filmed at The Brooklyn Circus, a high-end menswear store in New York, Eric included such style and fashion writer as Dapper Lou  of www.dapperlou.com, pop critic / writer Miles Marshall Lewis of EBONY.com, KJohn (KJohn La Soul), co-creators of Stuff Fly People Like Rae Holliday & Gabe, as well as Rog Walker of Huffington Post.

With a mesh of spoken word, sound and vision, Eric illustrates how his personal style has evolved and what it means to him. Creating a masterpiece of what timeless fashion is with song only creates beauty, and this video is just that. Well played Eric Benet, well-played.

Chris Brown and Rihanna split, AGAIN #Seriously #StuntQueens

It seems music’s favorite train wreck couple has split up AGAIN.

This week Chris Brown announced on Power 106 that he and Rihanna had finished their on again off again roller coaster relationship.

 

 

 

When asked about his Barbadian rockstar girlfriend  and if they were still together, he answered

“Uh no — that’s the short answer.”

 

Brown stated Rihanna was not the problem, and he was grateful for what he did have with her. He was thankful Rihanna was kind enough to forgive and love him despite the abusive relationship that surfaced in 2009, and that she made him ‘a better man’.

Brown told Ryan Seacrest in an interview with KIIS-FM radio (earlier in the week) that he takes full responsibility for the assault in 2009, saying that he is “eternally grateful” to Rihanna for forgiving him.

“I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident,” he explained, continuing, “and that time was probably the worst part of my life and being that she has and she’s a wonderful person I’m eternally grateful and thankful.”

Hmmmm. Sounds like a publicist talking. My thoughts? If Chris Brown had tried to be the best man possible, he wouldn’t have hit her in the first place.

So, is the split real or another PR stunt to keep us guessing. Yesterday, Rihanna seemed to be eluding that it was finished on her side too. She re-tweeted an emotional quote from @PiscesareUs that said;

Its the heart of a  that makes us soft mannered BUT is that same heart of a  that will make us get in your ass if needed

Hooray! Let us pray that our sweet little songbird ditched him for good. She needs freedom and a healthy relationship and Chris Brown is NOT it. Although Rihanna took her tweet down quickly from Twitter, it sounds like she is sick of having to be on CB’s ass (partying w ex gf’s, models, etc). Maybe she finally is seeing through his BS.

On a nicer note, Brown and Rihanna make better music when they aren’t with each other anyway. Here’s wishing they go parted ways amicably. And this time it’s permanently. Stick to your guns kids. We don’t need another Bobbi and Whitney.

Beyoncé, super queen of the Superbowl is on a roll. I haven’t heard anything super hot from Miss Beyoncé since her collab with the GAGA. I was beyond impressed with her act at Superbowl (especially meltdown 2013 from her electrical prowess) but to follow-up with this song. Well I won’t bow down but I will give hella props. Levi Mastro Art Event presented by @ScionAV

Lucky for us the ultra hip and cool people at Scion AV Have landed on our shores on the left Coast. why? Besides being ridiculously hip and in the know, they represent art, music and fashion at it’s best.

Recently they had an art reception for Urban AV artist Levi Maestro on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. Maestro moved to LA in hopes of starting a film career.

Maestro showcased his art spanning from 2006, when he came to Los Angeles to 2013. The artists brought out everything from limited edition run jackets, mugs to wall art and framed t-shirts.

Levi was joined by artist such as;

Anwar Carrots, Josh Peas, BJ The Chicago Kid, Dianne Garcia, Dom Kennedy, DJ SourMilk, Eli Reed, Gavin McNeil, George Wayne, Hayley Marie Norman, Javier Nunez, Jeff Staple, Kellen Roland, LEP Bogus Boys, Polyester the Saint, The Mac, Tino, Trashhand

The urbanesque art was really impressive and definitely repping LA proper. Levi is an amazing artist, and it was beyond PACKED. Despite the lack of breathing room everyone left happy, full of food and wine with something they loved (hats, shirts, watches, art), including our crew member Ms. Prince.

I was stuck at home with a brain full of NyQuil in fever land, but HUGE thanks to ScionAV for inviting HeathyrWolfe.com crew to this. We can’t thank ScionAV enough for inviting us to this showing of Levi’s work and talent.

Katt Williams Caught & Arrested #Finally #Duh

I guess Katt and Lilo only have so many get out of jail free cards and both just expired.

The look you see above is Katt Williams face when he finally got arrested for something. So far the funny man has escaped authorities on past charges for playing with guns and being ghetto but this time it stuck.

Katt was up Seattle and stopped by the World Sports Grille. There he got in a few verbal showdown with a few individuals and, according to the statement by Jonah Spangenthal-Lee, “brandished a pool cue at a bar manager and refused to leave the business.”

Here’s where Katt Brought the K-lassy. His psycho kicked in and he followed a family outside. According to the police report and EOnline.com Katt went full-scale ghetto;

As the family got into their car, Williams flicked a cigarette through a car window at a woman, striking her just below her eye,” said Spangenthal-Lee. “Williams also threw a rock at the family’s car.”

When arriving on the scene attempted to take him into custody, Williams subsequently resisted arrest.

After the Friday After Next star was finally subdued, he was booked into the nearby King County Jail for investigation of assault, harassment and obstructing police officers. A bail hearing was set for Monday afternoon.

Oh Homeboy. The problem with a life of crime? It will catch up to you.

I think Katt Williams will learn a valuable lesson. It’s that if you get booked on a weekend you usually don’t see the judge until Tuesday. He must have a REALLY good lawyer to be tried for bail today. Either way Micah ‘Katt’ Williams will most likely not get off with community service. We’re looking at jail time and a fine.

Chris Brown Get’s Signed to Wilhelmina Models? #badjoke

Controversial, thug, violent, actor, producer, chart topper, rapper, singer.

Love him or hate him Chris Brown has captured our attention for years. His mommy calls him an ‘Angel’ and the bloggers call him the devil.

Despite antics like busting a window and ‘Good Morning’ and Rhianna’s face, Chris Browns public has stuck by him. His career is not only powerful but so is his presence. Now Chris Brown has managed to top it all off by becoming a fashion/modeling icon. Wilhelmina Models, based out of NYC, has signed Chris Brown.

What the what?!! Admittedly the man has great body art and works out, but I will not be blinded by his pretty pectoral muscles. His actions over the years make him straight thug.

So why him and why his face? According to WWD;

Taylor Hendrich, director of Wilhelmina’s men’s division, told WWD, “Chris Brown is a… multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand.”

Translated from Marketing/PR speak that means, he is worth a lot of money.

I can see that. He has also emerged as quite a brand leader and is ‘sort of’ cleaning up his act. The 2009 incidence with Rhianna is in the past and Chiris Brown has been acting and Producing since 2001. With gold records and an entertainment career, this is the right move fiscally to build a small empire. ( I can hear Kanye having a fish sticks fit over this as we speak.)

I hope Wilhelmina knows what they are doing. They need to bring out the suave in CB and make him shine. If anyone can make Chris Brown into a gentlemen, Wilhelmina models can.

I can hear the screams from tweens and cat ladies around the world. Hooray! But what caused the rift? No one will ever know.

According to Reuters.com;

Representatives for Bieber and Gomez did not returns calls or emails on Saturday.

Typical Disney cover up. Give it two or three weeks. Someone will tell the press what happened. In the meantime, ladies, start your engines. The Bieber is back on the market!

Envision a mockery of Lady Gaga in a meat dress on a South Africa on a tour bus. Then add a dash of black face with yellow eyes. Lions, panthers, a KK-almost K man banging on a steel drum, and Lady Gaga giving birth to a bug in side street dentist/gyno shop.
