Great news for Muppet’s fan’s worldwide, the Muppets are finding a permanent home in New York City. New York’s Museum of Moving Image, is getting a fat donation.
By fat I mean Piggy, Kermit, some of Sesame street and some very happy little Fraggles, who no longer need to worry about their home.
According to the lovely people at AP/Yahoo;
Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Bert and Ernie of “Sesame Street” fame, the stars of “Fraggle Rock” and other puppets, costumes and items from throughout Muppet’s creator Jim Henson’s career have been donated
What is even cooler is over 400 items and 25 years worth of Muppet’s are being handed over to the museum. How epic is that?!
Unfortunately the sad part? We have to wait a year.
The exhibit is to open next year at the museum in the Long Island City neighborhood, across the East River from midtown Manhattan. The city is chipping in $2.75 million toward the $5 million cost for a project it sees as furthering its goal of persuading more tourists to venture beyond Manhattan.
I guess I know when to schedule my visit to the East Coast. See you there.
Yes for once this is all about ME! I was asked recently how someone can find me in the land of social media. Although I was tempted to answer, “Google me Bitch”, I decided not to be a snot and share my awesome social media sites.
Although this fills up constantly and I am having to play the delete game with a lot of filler profiles to make room for professionals and friends there is a chance you can hop on here and listen to me gripe. My personal stuff is posted here. Religious and political views. If you don’t want to know, don’t add it.
And if you need to get ahold of me there is an awesome contact form below.
Have a unique product, clothing or accessory line you want me to write-up? I am on it. Contact me below and we’ll work it out and get you some publicity. Emerging designers are my bread and buttah!
Thanks for the follow and may the fashion force be with you.
There are few things in this world that have my heart. One is the house of Dior. Classy, timeless and run by Raf Simons, it is purely chic. Delicious even.
The other is my old school, goth, new wave upbringing. Namely Depeche Mode who has a soundtrack to everything in my life. Their music was timeless and full of top 40 songs I have danced to since the 80s.
What do you get when you mix awesome English band Depeche Mode with Dior?
This beautifully done campaign video. Originally released in a short version the final, long version will steal your heart. I know it did mine.
Enjoy this visual eye candy.

John Galliano just cannot get a break. Then again, why should he?
In 2011 while helming the house of Dior, John Galliano went on a horrible anti-Semitic rant in France. Some poor couple was berated, he was arrested for drunken public behaviour and it cost him his job. This was an unforgivable faux pas, and frankly, pissed off a lot of fashion houses. Then he got it in his head he should sue Dior for wrongful termination making him persona fashion non grata.
Over the last two years Galliano has tried to smooth things over and get his career back on track. He has taken a temporary residency with Oscar de la Renta and HAD scored a job with Parson’ school of fashion design in New York. The key word being ‘had’.
The school, being of sound mind, and knowing their influence on youth in fashion, wanted Galliano to speak about his fashion design AND his actions in the world. Unfortunately being full of ego he still is having some ‘personal’ issues known as anti-Semitism, Galliano disagreed.
According to the Huffpost, a statement about the course by Parson’s said;
a candid discussion about the connection between his professional work and his actions in the world at large.” It said it canceled the workshop after the two sides couldn’t reach consensus on the conditions of the conversation.
A spokesman for Galliano didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday.
Parson’s fired him and his fancy four day course and the rest is history.
In fashion we tolerate a large amount of crazy and terrible behavior. Sex, drugs, and runway are non-stop insanity and the people who make it happen are a bit ‘off’ as well. Being one of them I should know. We will not however tolerate racism, crimes against gays (they are our bread and butter) and religious hate.
Let’s hope Galliano learns to swallow is pride. It just cost him not only a job, but his reputation is beginning to ‘wear’ thin.
I love that music and fashion are so simpatico. The industry after a couple hundred years, has finally wised up to the mad musicians out there and is milking it like they should.
Consider this as one of those awesome music and fashion moments.

Vogue had a live stream, twitter was a-tweeting and I was live tweeting my likes and dislikes of yesterdays red carpet. What? You weren’t tweeting with me? Well then go add me at @HeathyrWolfe before you start feeling guilty.
Icons of Fashion, TV and the Big Screen showed up in droves. Some fashionable, some fashionably late. Most were punk to gills as they should have been. Vivienne Westwood made a show and an amazing political plight for Bradley Manning, the soldier at the centre of the Wikileaks drama,
Madonna in Givenchy and Casadei shoes, showed some fierce punk attitude Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus was head to toe H-O-T, in a fishnet dress by Marc Jacobs,
The piece-de-resistance was Sarah Jessica Parker. She put a smile on everyone’s face with a mohawk head piece that was vintage Phillip Treacy, a Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles Deacon Dress dress and kick your ass plaid thigh-high boots.
Others were just there to share the spotlight namely our favorite resident paparazzi junkies Kimye who failed in this floral fashion flop,

Kristen Stewart who looked smashing but did nothing but smirk and eye roll on the red carpet
And January Jones who rode in on her broomstick, giving Anna Wintour a run for her money.

I know you may be a little too far to get NYC so below I give you Daria Werbowy in a Punk Story. Daria Werbowy – Punk Stories by Vogue.com
Being a contributor and writer in the Fashion industry has its perks. One of said perks being I can go to NYFW and witness the amazing designers debut their collections. No I’m not just trying to make you jealous (maybe a little). I’m actually talking about the FW 2013-2014 collection shown by the very talented Elliot Giffs.
Labeled ‘Never Forever’ it premiered this year NYFW in Feb for Fall/Winter 2013. I don’t know where Elliot Giffis has been hiding because his collection was amazingly unique and high fashion.
Seeing this menswear collection was refreshing. It tickled my freak chic fashion bone by being something akin to ninja gear for a metro sexual. Although most collections that are shown at NYFW usually show a bit more of an Americanized style, his reflects more of an international quality.
Curious yet? Check out the amazing runway photos from the Elliot Evan Fall/Winter 2013 collection pour homme.
Huge thanks to Michael Shane PR for show invite and photos (Fashionable love and Champagne kisses darling!).
Let’s face it. Season 5 was a total bust. I am a long time fan of True Blood but they totally failed me in Season 5. There was not enough sex, there was not enough blood and the plot was so thin, a 1-year-old with a butter knife could have cut through it.
I guess there were a few highlights. All involving Eric half nekkid. Other than that, we learned fairies are lame, like sex and all vampires are narcissists. This could be season 2.
And then there was the Season 6 trailer…..and it made me say….
Sweet Jesus.
With a limited run of only a few episodes we have everyone naked, more blood than a 80s gore movie, tons of battling, shoot ’em up, blood lust AND…..lots of Eric’s awesome chest. Way to go Mr. Skarsgard, you’ve been hitting the gym. (Team Sweden FTW!!)
Words cannot explain the joy I got (especially below the waist) when watching this. Sex, Blood and gospel music. It’s a WIN!
Vanessa Hudgens, ex-Disney kid, Ex of Zac Efron and Ex-High School Music twenty something girl. She’s go loads of ca$$$h, and a career that has been a really good PR stunt. She’s boho, cute and a Coachella kind of gal.
So where in the holy hell did this come from. Here we have a 90’s throwback video with a day-glo twist that hurts my ears, eyes and makes my skin crawl. I’m not sure if this is three minutes of a cheer, or a song. I think secretly Disney had something to do with this mess. And it is VERY not cute.
It seems that YLA are actually the ones who are in charge of co-cheering this song into existence and producing it. Although I give them props for using the B list tween for her fame to move up, this was pretty much a bad move. YLA needs to take their name off this hot 90s mess. This was not meant to be seen by the public girls. And our tween superstar Vanessa? Vanessa Hudgens needs to stick to tween moves with hot leading men.
Every Disney kid has to try to put out a hit single. Sorry Vanessa H. fans, this is definitely a miss.
If David Guetta didn’t wake you up with his pop house weirdness this morning maybe I can kick your little fashion ass into gear with this video. Put together by the lovely people at Vogue, Cara Delivigne (supermodel of the moment) rocks out in this Punk Stories video by Quentin Jones of Cadence (New York).
It’s a non-stop fashion blast. Grab your nearest Vivienne Westwood/Malcolm McLaren t-shirt, and turn up the volume for a perfect punk Vogue story.
I don’t think there is a single song I have ever disliked by David Guetta. He has been the mix master to my soul since around 2000 something and he has ‘it’ factor up the yin yang.
To get you inspired and get your Monday freak on I thought I would share a gem. It’s ‘Play Hard ‘featuring Ne-Yo and Akon. Even if the song ate it the video is worth watching.
No damn worries. The song is magic and the video ought to get you started the right-wrong way this morning.
Slam your coffee and put on your headphones because we’re about to bust it ought Guetta style. Video is SFW, BUT has twerking w a side of crunk. Beware the evil boss who doesn’t like booty shakin’ and sick dancers.
All the world is your stage, until you get busted. Then you are just another Disney kid.
Justin Bieber stepped into the shoes of many a Disney kid by getting busted for drugs, Wednesday night, in Stockholm. The Swedish authorities noses were super sensitive and caught a ‘whiff’ of something funny smelling as Bieber boarded his tour bus last night. No, it was not Nag Champa.
“A colleague sensed what was considered to be a strong smell of marijuana,” Stockholm police spokesman Lars Byström told the Aftonbladet newspaper.
Sensed? What is this? A new B movie in the making? A cop with a ‘weed’ sense that busts pot smokers is coming for YOU.
Being Swedish I have to give my people props for busting the Bieber and bringing this to light. Being compassionate I feel for the Bieber. I live in California where weed is like, well, a weed. There are at least 6 medical marijuana clinics with in walking radius of my apartment in West Hollywood. SIX. Yeah we are totally mellow out here in California FOR A REASON.
Don’t worry. Their love for Bieber conquered all Beliebers,
“We don’t have any concrete suspicions against any specific person; there were several people on the bus,” Byström told Aftonbladet.
Technically speaking it could have been his BFF Lil Twist, or a roadie. Let’s hope he gets off with a small fine. Bieber has had enough controversy on this European tour.
