Kristen Stewart ‘Sorry’ for CHEATING?!! Don’t Worry, it’s ALL PR.

Everyone raise their hand who DIDN’T see this coming. Count of hands *0*.

Yes, Kristen Stewart cheated on Rob Pattison. WHAT? OMG. NO WAY. Yes way, person living in a cave.

Thankfully she cheated with someone ridiculously HOT & British. There were murmurings when these two first met on the set of Twilight they were having an affair. Recently life brought them back together for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, which Rupert Sanders directed.

What is actually terribly sad though is he is….married. To supermodel Liberty Ross.

With kids. Two to be exact. What is it about this being the summer of philandering fool’s? First Depp now Rupert Sanders.

A source  supposedly close to Kristen had a talk with E! saying;

“Kristen is absolutely devastated,” the insider insists. “It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment.”

The source continues, “She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened. She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”

It’s sad really that they have had to perpetuate a fake relationship this long. Then again look at Tom and Katie.

The ‘source’ goes on to say Kristen loves Rob and Rob is devastated etc. As much as this couple from ‘Twilight’ seem’s like a match made in heaven, something always told me they were not.

I hope the best for Pattison. He deserves better. Millions of Twihards agree.

Johnny Depp Flies Back to Vanessa Paradis

NO! Say it ain’t so. My one chance to meet and slobber on Johnny Depp seem’s to have flown the coop. Look’s like all us Hollywood Depp groupies will have to wait another year or even, lifetime, for our chance to party with Johnny.

That’s right Mr’ Johnny Depp came to his senses (boo!) and has flown back to the south of France to try to patch thing up with his long-time love Vanessa Paradis. Makes sense since he has two children in the picture now. That’s right. They are getting big enough to know what is going on now too.  Lily-Rose is 13, and Jack is nine. Depp is 49 now and needs to stop philandering and fooling around.

I hate to wish them the best, but I sincerely do. Go get your woman Johnny and as the French say ; Bonne Chance!

Confirmed! Lana Del Rey New Face of H&M 2012/2013 Line

I cannot hide my love of Lana Del Rey. I am enamored with her music and she is a rocking beauty. Heck she even snagged the March 2012 cover of Vogue UK.

Well, on the 17th H&M OFFICIALLY released a PR statement that they have confirmed her as the new face of H&M’s 2012/2013 Fall/Winter line.

“We were looking for a style icon and singer to model our autumn/winter 2012-13 collection and Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice,” said H&M PR manager Chloe Bowers. “We think she shows our fall fashion in a very inspiring way. The theme of the campaign is a modern and feminine woman with a soft attitude. Curves and waist are important in autumn’s silhouette.”

Agreed Chloe and damn good choice. Lana Del Rey is the sort of vamp women love and admire. Sultry and such a vixen we send HUGE congrats.

All we ask Lana darling is quit with the plastic surgery. You don’t need it and that lip augmentation, soooooo botched.

Stay pretty Miss Del Rey. We’re hooked on you. H&M made a brilliant choice.

Let’s make her our ‘National Anthem’.

Vogue Russia Needs a New Photoshop Artist

Oh Vogue Russia, I understand we are imperfect people living in an imperfect world. Often we have bad days, or even botched photo spreads, but this….well there are no words.

Devastating model, gorgeous dress, sexy pose, blingy jewelry….and a disembodied hand.

NYET! Say it isn’t so. I can see how one might pose oddly and crop out and over extended arm but this is inexcusable. Where the heck is her freeking arm? Did it take a sick day? Is it on another page? Is she missing and arm and has a very unique and pretty manicured hand growing out of her head? No.

Vogue Russia just killed there August 2012 issue. As the number one producer of hot runway girls this is unacceptable. I hope they fire who ever did this. Vogue Russia, get it together. You are too good for this.

Even your pretty letters won’t fool us this time. Bring back the arm! Vogue standards demand it.

Time to get bathing beauty pretty ladies, looks like in 2013 skin is in, and so is colorblocking. This trend surfaced in SS 2011 and has been going strong ever since. Thankfully this next year will be more about neutral colors and not so many nasty pastels. Here’s hoping the rest of my fashion week forecast is this positive.

US Approves First-Ever Pill to Help Fight HIV

A daily regimen of Truvada is estimated to cost $14,000 per year, putting it out of reach for many [GALLO/GETTY]

Although enormously expensive the Truvada pill has finally been released. Truvada is the first pill known to directly fight the spread of HIV.

A Three year study in healthy HIV carrier up to almost 42%. This is huge milestone and despite its hefty price I believe we are actually ready to start combatting HIV and AIDS, instead of elongating pan and suffering. With an estimated 50,000 new cases per year we need more pro-active measures to help combat HIV and AIDS. Truvada may be the beginning of the end.

Of course like any medication Truvada is not without its nasty side effects. Truvada has been known to cause nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headaches and weight loss. Is it really worth it? The answer will always be yes to those that suffer and live with the HIV and AIDS virus.

It may be a baby step but we ARE on the right track. Let’s end this epidemic.

Marc Jacobs and His New Love “Dot”

7/12/12 Artwalk Riot in DTLA; What really happened (how to ruin a good night)

Because news is heresy and I was there. I want to tell you my story and what REALLY happened.

First let me clarify, OCCUPY LA movement was not involved. If there were there on their own accord, they were bystanders who got drawn into POLICE/LAPD fire. Those people fight for their right peacefully.

Might I add this once again is forcing my dislike for the police in this town. Stalked for four years, they can’t help, someone attacked me in my house, they tried to victimize me and say I did it. I’m shaking my finger at you very vigorously LAPD (get it together boys).

In sequence my night started off lovely. My roomie came home from work hot and sweaty and I was taking her to her FIRST Artwalk in DTLA. We dressed up, were meeting friends. Perfect.

Then the rain started and it was even better. Cooling off everyone helped easy the aggro and we needed the rain. Add a perfect colorful LA sunset and a shot of vodka and my night was off to a good start.

The first thing I see as I get down to Artwalk is this loveliness.

Hooray for this window. Next we stopped off to see Tina Summers at her boutique half a block from 5th & Spring at ‘Uniqbill’ Boutique. My roomie got some serious spike earrings and we chatted.

I was warned by Tina and her family that there was a protest 1/2 a block west from 5th & Spring. Turned out the bullhorn I had heard was the cops ‘hassling people’ “Fine”, I said, we’ll just go the other way”. And we did, and it was fine.

We ventured into the Artwalk ‘I Art U DTLA Pop up Boutique at 521 S. Spring st.

It was packed full of happy and hot shoppers.

Look at all the angry people. Oh right, that is what is missing from this picture.

Stopping by Astera Leather’s booth we found awesome Gir coasters made of leather by Kim Weaver.

And headed over to view the awesome display at Candy Wax Cutie

These guys are a very cool creative collective of Artists, Photographers, Film Makers, Models, Fashion Designers and Make Up Artists who are making art in every way possible. I spoke to one of the girls there extensively. They really pulling together to be professional and unique in what they do. Check out the display of one of the Costumers.

After she gave us free Monster (hallelujah, free energy drinks) she warned us thing were bad outside on 5th how we came. Again I answered, “No problem we’ll go out the back” and we did.

That was about 10:20PM, and then shit started going bad as we exited on to 6th as we headed to 7th and Pershing Squares Metro.

First Police helicopters flew in, then we were passed by 10 cop cars sirens blaring shooting down Spring. In the midst of it all we walked a block to far so we cut across Pershing Square. There was chalk art everywhere. Kitties and rainbows and some hearts and the word ‘Peace’.  Really fun, innocent and cute. This is what the police were fighting with people about. Yep. Chalk art by sweet peace-loving kids.

As we neared 7th again and crossed the street we the police were about 50 feet from us. All in riot gear. Cars blocking the street, 20 cops in a line in riot gear. 15 feet from them, one stationed at each staircase leading into the metro at Pershing Square. I figured try getting in and if necessary run and catch it ANYWHERE else.

As we crossed the street we actually passed this kid, shirt up, surrounded by his friends taking cell phone pictures.

Weird finding a photo the next day.

I pulled my roomie away from him. At that moment we saw the elevator. Whipped around the corner, caught it with 5 others. Last minute a couple ran in. We all looked at each other and giggled nervously.

After that I called a few people CBS News and NBCLA were already spreading false facts. Police were hurt, etc. and it was an OCCUPY LA thing. It wasn’t.

Truth be told it was over some nice people passing out chalk to draw with. The kind you give a five-year old.The police didn’t like it and used force. Probably said it was destruction of property. Innocent bystanders got hit with rubber bullets and bean bags. Shot in the face and attacked for loving art and Los Angeles.

Not only that but they totally ruined my shopping buzz. Which is a far bigger sin than they know.

Unforgivably it was very real violence. Why this? And why on a night of festivities, music and promoting artists?

Thanks LAPD, You really ruined a beautiful night. For everyone

Man Cured of AIDS: Stem Cell Transplant Successful

Yes it’s real…

Timothy Brown received a stem cell surgery in 2007 for leukemia and ended showing no signs of the virus after making him the only man to have been cured from AIDS.

Timothy says he feels guilty being the only man ever to beat HIV/AIDS, but it was no fluke. Doctors found a genetic mutation that can help beat this.

Brown got lucky. The blood stem cells he received came from a donor with a special genetic mutation that made him resistant to HIV.

The genetic mutation occurs in less than 1  percent of Caucasians, and far less frequently in people of other races. Before Brown got his transplant in 2007, doctors tested nearly 70 donors for this genetic mutation before they found one who was a match.

There is hope for others as well. Doctors are looking into Umbilical Cord transplants as an option. Read the full article from ABCNews below;

‘Girl Model’ a Powerful Documentary, Must See!

Normally I like to keep things light and fluffy. Often fun on here.

Being focused on the fashion industry I do like to share real finds as well. I ran across this on my live streaming channel and had to share.

 

It is powerful, moving and amazing to watch the transition as girls from Siberia are recruited to work in Japan. It is intense, sobering and fascinating to see the modeling industry through a 13-year-old, foreign teenagers eye’s and the narrator, and an ex-model, now scout.

Here is the trailer.


It struck a deep note with me and I believe it is something everyone should watch at least once. Ignorance is not bliss and this movie/documentary proves that.

‘Canadian Psycho/Kitten Killer’ Luka Rocco Magnotta CAUGHT in Berlin

It’s time’s like this I know things are right with the world and less wrong. Luka Rocco Magnotta, ex escort, ‘Angel’, has been caught for the gruesome murder and dismembering of his ex-lover Lin Jun, 33.

Magnotta posted a grisly recording of him dismembering and defiling his ex-lover and then mailed the body parts to different political offices in Canada, including the Canadian Conservative Party.

The hunt for Magnotta ended today when very smart and aware internet cafe worker in Berlin, recognized him, watched him and reported him as he was leaving. Originally authorities thought he fled to Paris and might be dressed as a woman. Thank god for the public. ‘We’ ARE what brings ‘Canadian Psycho’s’ to justice.

Magnotta’s previous history was disturbed and pointed towards a path of violence (if anyone had been paying attention). He had originally dubbed himself the ‘Kitten Killer’, and posted videos on his personal website of the poor little things stuck in a plastic bag and him sucking the air out of plastic bags.

We demand Kitten Justice!

Magnotta also dated a convicted murderer. According to the DailyTelegraph,

 Mr Magnotta once dated Karla Homolka, who was convicted in 1991 of manslaughter following a plea bargain in the rape and murder of two teenage girls and her sister

Magnotta also took to his blog often making himself out to be a ‘victim’. He complained about ‘Cyberstalking’ and said that this whole silly murder thing was ‘Media Propaganda’ out to get him.

Something about killing innocent animals and dismembering your now ex-boyfriend strikes me as WRONG.

He even blogged, and this is the real winner,

 “It’s not cool to the world being a necrophiliac. It’s bloody lonely.”

Reality check to Magnotta, something tells me you won’t be getting any pity in your trail.  Perhaps he would like to be stuck in a plastic bag and have all the air sucked out?

Justice? I think so.
