Vogue had a live stream, twitter was a-tweeting and I was live tweeting my likes and dislikes of yesterdays red carpet. What? You weren’t tweeting with me? Well then go add me at @HeathyrWolfe before you start feeling guilty.

Icons of Fashion, TV and the Big Screen showed up in droves. Some fashionable, some fashionably late. Most were punk to gills as they should have been. Vivienne Westwood made a show and an amazing political plight for Bradley Manning, the soldier at the centre of the Wikileaks drama,

Vivienne Westwood at the Met Ball 21013 Madonna in Givenchy and Casadei shoes, showed some fierce punk attitude Madonna MadonnainGivenchyandCasdeishoes Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus was head to toe H-O-T, in a fishnet dress by Marc Jacobs, MileyC MileyMarcJacobs

The piece-de-resistance was Sarah Jessica Parker. She put a smile on everyone’s face with a mohawk head piece that was vintage Phillip Treacy, a Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles Deacon Dress dress and kick your ass plaid thigh-high boots.

Evan Elliot ‘Never Forever’ Collection #Menswwear #Ninja #Emerging

Being a contributor and writer in the Fashion industry has its perks. One of said perks being I can go to NYFW and witness the amazing designers debut their collections. No I’m not just trying to make you jealous (maybe a little). I’m actually talking about the FW 2013-2014 collection shown by the very talented Elliot Giffs.

Labeled ‘Never Forever’ it premiered this year NYFW in Feb for Fall/Winter 2013. I don’t know where Elliot Giffis has been hiding because his collection was amazingly unique and high fashion.
k3G_CUcnRjEeAurzFqhSpM7b61IIgmirCmMua3NUUrolead
Seeing this menswear collection was refreshing. It tickled my freak chic fashion bone by being something akin to ninja gear for a metro sexual. Although most collections that are shown at NYFW usually show a bit more of an Americanized style, his reflects more of an international quality.
Curious yet? Check out the amazing runway photos from the Elliot Evan Fall/Winter 2013 collection pour homme.
Huge thanks to Michael Shane PR for show invite and photos (Fashionable love and Champagne kisses darling!).

Behind the Mirror, Fashion Video by the Hotness Known as DSquared #Fashion #Video #Dragtastic

092012_bb_womens_mainimg1

I love D Squared. An Italian clothing collaboration by twins Dean and Dan Caten (born Dean and Dan Catenacci). Based in Milan these twins are not only fraternal but identical and specialize in the ultra-modern and chic. What’s not to love about D2? Nothing. They are perfection, embodied in fashion and willing to prove it.

I present to you their new campaign video for 2013, “Behind the Mirror”. With of course little hot Dean and Dan action in it a la cameo. In drag?!! You’ll have to watch this gender eff for yourself. Beautifully shot and visually delicious by the geniuses at Mert & Marcus and the double D’s never looked so good.

I present ‘Behind the Mirror”.

Marc Jacobs Hits 50 with a ‘BANG’! #Abs #Fragrance #PourHomme #BirthdayBoy

Marc Jacobs is sitting pretty in his 50th year, celebrating his birthday this year, which is April 9th), by releasing his new fragrance pour homme, “BANG”. The title says it all.

article-2305800-192E9446000005DC-740_634x698

Sitting pretty is right.

Over the years Marc Jacobs has given us fashion, fosse (90’s), fatty(mid 2000’s) and now ripped to the gills and fabulous 50.

With the release of Bang, Marc decided to show of his gorgeous sculpted body in his new fragrance ad. He also recently began tweeting pics of himself on twitter and instagram, looking too fit for words. What does this mean? It means Marc isn’t slowing down but plans on wearing more man kilts, lace dresses and showing us what he is made of a la Karl Lagerfeld. Who says age is a drawback? It’s looking mighty fine to me.

Congrats Marc Jacobs on your super fine fifty years. We’re looking forward to you clothing, scents and more spectacular instagram’s.

Happy Birthday you Beautiful baby!

Eric Benet New Video on Fashion Evolution “Music meets Style’ #Music #Fashion #Mens #Timeless

image001

Streetwear may be a the new black but Men’s fashion, in my eyes, will always be about timeless, key pieces and classic style. The fedora will be forever classy, the tie and bow-tie represent class and can be chosen to show personality, and the classic three-piece suit will always be the ultimate in being a dapper don.

Eric Benet is an amazing musician with a vision. He is also a believer in timeless fashion and style. So much that he took his vision a step further to make a new, amazing video called ‘Music Meets Style’ (just released on Esquire.com).

Filmed at The Brooklyn Circus, a high-end menswear store in New York, Eric included such style and fashion writer as Dapper Lou  of www.dapperlou.com, pop critic / writer Miles Marshall Lewis of EBONY.com, KJohn (KJohn La Soul), co-creators of Stuff Fly People Like Rae Holliday & Gabe, as well as Rog Walker of Huffington Post.

With a mesh of spoken word, sound and vision, Eric illustrates how his personal style has evolved and what it means to him. Creating a masterpiece of what timeless fashion is with song only creates beauty, and this video is just that. Well played Eric Benet, well-played.

Sweets Jewelry, Carol Lynn Sweet’s and How to Give Back! #Jewelry #Gorgeous #Charity

A classic piece of really nice jewelry can make a woman do anything. Clean. Cook. Melt into putty. Scream and squeal like a dolphin.

Really, we are suckers for that.

Recently I had the honor and luck of meeting Carol Lynn Sweets, of Sweet’s Jewelry, at LAFW 2013 in Hollywood.

524247_347156195360030_797523137_n

More like, I jumped her and forced my business card into her face.
I had seen on the runway presenting gorgeous pieces that are sexy, sassy and made of GORGEOUS semi-precious stones. Think pearls, garnet, turquoise and jade to keep you feeling like a queen. No wonder I fell in love with her runway items.
Check out the LAFW runway presentation for Sweet’s Jewelry below,

Is it wrong I want everything on the runway I see?

After speaking extensively to Carol, I found out she is no emerging designer. Sweet’s Jewelry is featured in everything from TV to radio show’s. The list is massive.

A few worth mentioning are; Kick it Spot Radio, BRAVO T.V., MTV Music Video’s, Covergirl Photo Shoot, TMZ, 90210 2.0, PopCon 2012, L.A. Fashion Week, Miss Russia 2013 Swimwear Photo Shoot.

I that isn’t enough, they are on every red carpet in Hollywood including; THE Emmy’s, ITV Awards, various Oscar gifting Suites and the Grammy’s.

Are you feeling the love? You should be. Sweet’s Jewelry is not all about pretty necklaces and rings and things. There is a softer side to her business that makes us at HeathyrWolfe.com love her even more.

In her spare time Carol uses a portion of her profits for philanthropy. Currently Carol supports and raises fund for;

LongBeach Aids Foundation. The Eric Wylde Foundation Children in Guatemala, Shine on Hollywood Magazine Aid for Artists, and Kierrah Foundation Aid for Foster Children.

Carol decided to give back to the community by creating a special area on her site JUST for charity. All the Jewelry sold on the Charity Pages 100% of the Proceeds go directly to the foundation they purchase from.

TV, Model Shoot’s, Red Carpet. I’m impressed.

It turn’s out this fashionista/diva need’s to pay closer attention to her accessories. Sweet’s Jewelry is not only well made and gorgeous but obviously THE thing to grab while it’s still available. Why do I say that? Each piece is original and handcrafted.

That’s right, you will be wearing a limited edition/original. Annnnnd yes of course she does custom orders. I’ve already ordered my piece so you better get cracking with your credit card darlings. Where to go to buy? Click the link below and get your’s NOW!

LA Runway at Mansion Hollywood/LA Fashion Week #RunwayReport #Dancers #Singers #HeathyrWolfe

Fashion Week in LA was absolutely well done and gorgeous this year. I did miss some highlights and events, but one must  pick and choose very wisely.

‘LA Runway’, event by Parris Harris Entertainment was an excellent choice especially since hey were doing a food drive for the LA Mission’s.

I brought another part of our Fast Lane Magazine editorial team, Rene Rivers with me to the event. One must always have fashionable friends with you. Rene Rivers (StyledbyRene.com) is a stylist, I knew she would enjoy the runway and clothing.IMAG1312

We checked in early so we got to watch run through’s and set up.

IMAG1295 IMAG1306 IMAG1305 IMAG1296

It’s always nice to know what you are getting into.

In Los Angeles we’ve had our issues with Fashion Week. This year however was organized and brilliant. In LA we aim to achieve more than NYFW by including the strange, unusual and always unexpected. I’m pleased to say Parris Harris Entertainment really went above and beyond with this show. Although it was a lengthy 4 hours it was worth every minute.

HUGE Thanks to Parris Harris. He seated in the front so we got a really clear view.

Front Diva. It’s what being a Fashion Editor is all about.

The place was packed.

IMAG1349

I swear I though people would start swinging from the rafters. It was THAT kind of packed.

We were lucky to here a few kind words from one of the chair of the LA mission who serves over 2,000 meals a day here in Los Angeles to the homeless and needy. This woman is a saint.

After intro’s from the talented Alicia Hardesty & the LA Mission L Runway at Mansion rocked it with sexy Brazilian hitting the runway. Ay Mami!

If anyone ever says LA is boring again I am hiring these girls to come over. They WRECKED the runway.

Other AMAZING performances were by a high energy girl group called The Dolls

A one woman show who gives Lady Gaga a run for her money (somebody email this girls number to me), Spankie Valentine.

Spankie is not only gorgeous but she knows how to work a stage, an audience and bring the music. She’s got talent and style. Obviously influenced by Diva’s like Beyonce, Janet Jackson with a tiny dash of 80’s glam costuming. She’s got sass and flash and is definitely someone to keep an eye and ear on.

Check out pics from her ferosh stage show;

The Musicians were top notch and I will be forever grateful I got to see them perform each of their unique talents.

Six designers were featured on the runway throughout the evening. All the designers were amazing my favorites were Camille Wood, Jewelry Designer Carol Lynn Sweet of Sweet Designs and my friend Shekhar Rahate (you still owe me a drink!). I will be doing a piece on Carol’s jewelry line later this week but for now go check out here pieces at;

For crazy fun and swim/clubwear with some sass look no further than Camille Wood.

Camille has a killer smile, a mass of blond hair and is just all around fun. Her fashion is exactly the same with an addition of fantasy and swimsuits made for killer bodies. She topped them all with elegant and bejeweled headdresses making for a perfect outfit for the modern day Cleopatra. Or ballsy girl who loves to show shes more than the average beach girl.

IMAG1425 IMAG1427 IMAG1428 IMAG1429 IMAG1430 IMAG1431 IMAG1433 IMAG1435

Shekhar Rahate ended the show with classic beauty. His dresses have been seen on stars and celebrities at The Grammys, Helium Magazine, LA Fashion Week and at NY Fashion Week. The man is a master of his trade and produces nothing short of elegance.

Most of the dresses featured in Shekhar (literally meaning sugar) Rahate’s collection were lean, long and full of feminine grace. Gold hues mixed with Indian prints. Flowers printed silks and cottons were topped with elegant headdresses  Definitely the man to go to for a red carpet dress.

Nikki Rich and B:Scott x Sarah Scott at Concept LA #LAFW #RunwayReport #HeathyrWolfe

I have been busier than Paris Hilton on Rodeo Drive this week with Los Angeles Fashion Week. First off I want to say to all the organizers and designers, you really came through this year. If Anna Wintour had come out she would have renewed faith in our LAFW. Ya’all are organized and really showing the fierce this year!

Here’s the rundown of Saturday, 3/9.

I went to the 5pm show for Nikki Rich and the 9pm show for B:Scott x Sarah Scott. I of course brought fellow fashionista and designer Amanda Christine of Aji, and later, HeathyrWolfe.com crew member Patrice Prince.

Nikki Rich was a delight. They really put their best fashion foot forward. I expected more rock n roll looks, but they went more into clean lines with superior draping and choices of material. Casual enough to be pret-a-porter but fierce enough for the diva in club land. I was pleasantly surprised at how full it was and was quickly seated.

The line came out and the runway was well done, professional and unique. I saw material laced with a cracked earth effect. This had an entirely pleasant addition bringing an elegance and originality to the collection. There were neutral colors in the collection but Nikki Lund added dashes of navy blue and deep wine red into the designs. Everything was casual chic and completely wearable, with a nice mix and matchability. Check out the line below;

Later that evening after I changed and returned for the B:Scott event. Running late I found out this event had hit capacity and then some. The gates were closed and the seats were full. Worried I was not going to get in I did last minute!! I squeezed into a VERY full room, thanks to Alyssa. (thank you so much for an amazing show).

B:Scott x Sara Scott entered the runway with a fierce attitude. Mixed with urban chic, heir designs are beyond standard ‘street wear’. Material contrasted beautifully with leathers, wool, cottons. Letterman jackets mixed with snood hats and satin suits in fire engine red. Sleek casual men’s wear graced the runway to cheers. Ending with a standing ovation, B:Scott was the winner of the evening.

What few pictures I did get are below.

Thanks again to Siren Studios, Concept LA and Alyssa and Mallory!
Stay tuned. More LAFW to come.

Macy’s OUT Launch by Lexus hosted by celebrity stylist Daniel Musto #Fashion #Runway #HeathyrWolfe

Last night was a perfect kickoff to LAFW here in the city that glitters. Stars, fashion and the LGBT community came out for a perfect rainy evening at the Pacific Design Center to support the Macy’s OUT magazine’s Launch with Daniel Musto, celebrity stylist.

I was checked in by a sweet boy in a bow tie and passed the red carpet. The massive amount of people there and pumping music were overwhelming. Thankfully I had girl posse back up AND I ran into my friend Lorielle New who was in Deathproof/Grindhouse.

IMG_20130308_005622good

Heading to the bar I had a delicious cocktail of blackberry soda and vodka and proceeded to meet and great. I saw Perez Hilton there for a brief moment, local fashion celebrity Mikey Koffman in her signature sequin bow tie, and met the too talented Bruce Vilanch. He was beyond courteous and took tons of pictures with fans and me.

Bruce Vilanch, an inspiration to writers everywhere!
Bruce Vilanch, an inspiration to writers everywhere!

The runway show started and it was ‘Suited Up, Jean Jean and Swim’. All of which Daniel Musto introduced and had impeccably dressed/styled.

During the show I met the amazing Bryan Langston of Culture-edit. He represents amazing artists such as Peggy Moffit and Silvia Prada. Having just moved from NYC, we talked bi-coastal fashion and more. It was a pleasure to talk to and meet such and articulate and fashionable crowd. My girls and I left exhausted, happy fed and pleased.

The Macy’s OUT Launch Event was a complete success. Everyone was well-dressed and the food and drinks killed it were above normal fanfare for a fashion event. Thanks again to DKC PR for inviting us out. We had a great time!!

This weekend I am off the Niki Rich fashion show and the B:Scott/SarahScott shows. More to come and more celebs to meet.

Stay tuned!!

Maestro showcased his art spanning from 2006, when he came to Los Angeles to 2013. The artists brought out everything from limited edition run jackets, mugs to wall art and framed t-shirts.

Levi was joined by artist such as;

Anwar Carrots, Josh Peas, BJ The Chicago Kid, Dianne Garcia, Dom Kennedy, DJ SourMilk, Eli Reed, Gavin McNeil, George Wayne, Hayley Marie Norman, Javier Nunez, Jeff Staple, Kellen Roland, LEP Bogus Boys, Polyester the Saint, The Mac, Tino, Trashhand

I was stuck at home with a brain full of NyQuil in fever land, but HUGE thanks to ScionAV for inviting HeathyrWolfe.com crew to this. We can’t thank ScionAV enough for inviting us to this showing of Levi’s work and talent.

Punk is NOT Dead! MET Costume Institute Displays Punk Coutoure. #McClaren #Westwood #McQueen #ROCK

All photos by Betty Sze of Models.com
All photos by Betty Sze of Models.com

Who say’s Punk is dead? Not the NY MET Costume Institute. Recently Anna Wintour, Riccardo Tisci and several others put their best punk foot forward at a gala to display a full array of punk wear. Original Vivienne Westwood/Malcolm McClaren, McQueen, Lagerfeld and Galliano’s outfits are displayed in this diverse look at punk influence.

Punk art & street influence began to show its distasteful head in the mid-1970’s and still has a rough handle on the fashion industry to this day. Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm Mclaren embraced it around 1976 and never looked back. To this day Westwood’s punk influence is still pretty heavy in her collections. You don’t get to be a well-known designer of 30+ years by playing it safe. And punk, has NEVER been safe.

Checkout the display in New York City from the MET evening of Punk.

Valentine’s Gift Guide – What to do for Your Man in LA. #GiftGuide #FilmGuide #ValentineforHim #LosAngeles #MustSeeMovies

We all know how to work Valentine’s Day for the woman in your life. Chocolate’s, lingerie, card’s, romantic dinners and the favorite, Jewelry. Let’s face it, buying for the woman in your life is easy. Valentine’s Day is 90% geared to the feminine persuasion and we get happy and romantically stupid over the smallest things (see jewelry).

This real question for the ladies. What do you get your boyfriend? A tie (see NO)? A geek toy (they already own it and haven’t told you)? Golfing lessons with Tiger Woods? Ok, he might like that one. Real dedication and love are none of these things ladies. What he really want’s is a date night involving a totally ludicrous, sexual, violent guy flick. And I have just the thing.

Sushi Girl is everything he ever wanted.

Gratuitous violence. Yeah there is plenty of that thanks to Tony Todd, Andy Mackenzie, Sonny Chiba and the most AWESOME Danny Trejo. Sex? A hot Courtney Palm leads as the ‘Sushi Girl’ laid out as myotaimori (a sushi table/girl). Witty Banter? Add Mark Hamill as the toady, simpering and wicked smart Crow. A secret knight in shining armor with a penchant for nose candy, James Duval. And our hero? Fish played by the ever awesome Noah Hathaway.

What happens when you put together a crew of seasoned professionals like Tony Todd who has a masterful career spanning 20+ years, Andy Mackenzie who has been in over 70 film and TV features ( from The Mentalist, CSI, True Blood), Mark Hamill who will forever be known for his awesome portrayal as young Skywalker, James Duval who will forever be Frank the Rabbit from Donnie Darko in my mind and Noah Hathaway who known his portrayal as Atreyu in the Never Ending story?

Mother-effing-magic.

How do I know ‘HE’ will like it? I was lucky enough to catch a screening at the Directors Guild. It made me squeamish, happy, sad and scream bad ass at the end. It’s been called Tarinto-esque and it really is. I’ll describe this feature as a ‘happy slice of hell’.

But why trust me? Check out the trailer here;

So ladies what do we do here in LA for the man we love? Take him to a rocking, socking, blow ’em up, hit you where it counts feature. The great part? It’s at Mann’s Chinese Theater and you can buy tickets online. And guys…if she doesn’t buy it…go now before it’s too late.

What are you waiting for? It’s a limited engagement playing from the 2/8-2/14.

David Beckham, Guy Ritchie and H&M Present; David Beckham in his Undies! #DavidBeckham #Nude #Wet #Yesplease

I really have to give props to H&M. They are not only killing the middle market for affordable and damn good-looking clothing, but they are killing it with having David Beckham doing their ad campaign’s. Ad a talented Guy Ritchie making the video and this was a win. Also slightly hilarious.

This campaign video brings us Beckham not only half-nude, but wet in his undies looking….well like David Beckham. I love the Ferris Bueller element and the fact that they threw in a few Hollywood jokes for us In LALALand.

Abs ass and all, This is a sure win for H&M, every blogger, all women kind and of course a very, VERY luck Victoria Beckham.

Thank you David Beckham. The world is a better place because of this.

Valentine’s Gifties Galore! Erotic Roses or Art for Your Sweetheart #New #Fresh #Sensual

As fashonistas everywhere gear up for NYFW, typing up schedule’s, faxing confirmation and sending last-minute email’s to their besties, the rest of us sad suckers at home are readying ourselves for Valentine’s Day.

Whether it is a day of loathing or a day of joy for you, everyone deserves a little love on February 14th. But what do you get the woman or man who has it all?

A spa day? Not quite in the budget, and last-minute cards and candies from the drug store may get you a slap in the face anyway. Let’s try something different, interesting and slightly sensual and well within our budget.

necklace and card

Handmade erotic roses on a chain a la Sphinx Art.

Erotic flower red

When I first saw the promotional photos I worried the size was too large (cough).

It turned out to be a dainty and sweet little necklace. Well made, classy and definitely worth owning & wearing. Sweet, petite and a little scandalous. They come in multiple colors (mine is purple) and come in a black sheer bag. Guys don’t worry, this leaves no doubt it’s JEWELRY, not THE ring.

What about your Man? He deserves something sensual and unique.

Alber Elbaz Approves! New Lanvin Campaign Editorial Video. #SS2013 #Lanvin

I love how designers are doing editorial video’s these days. They have canned the hyped-up artistic view and started to get strangely fun and creative.

Take Lanvin’s new campaign video. Although it screams hot, sexy fashion Alber Elbaz decided to have some fun and do a commentary Skype style. Making Lanvin’s new campaign not just luscious preening models, but a little more interesting insight into a creative designers mind.

Check out Lanvin’s New SS2013 Campaign video here;
