My Grandmother came over from Goteborg, Sweden (pronounced yotee-boree if you can believe it) in the 1920’s and passed on her heritage and awesome cheekbones to my mother and I. So when you see a mad genius like Patrick Demarchelier do a shoot for Scandinavia SSAW Magazine with our favorite Swedish supermodel, Frida Gustavsson, and super sexy Dane, Josephine Skriver, I HAVE TO share.

There are few things in this world that have my heart. One is the house of Dior. Classy, timeless and run by Raf Simons, it is purely chic. Delicious even.

The other is my old school, goth, new wave upbringing. Namely Depeche Mode who has a soundtrack to everything in my life. Their music was timeless and full of top 40 songs I have danced to since the 80s.

What do you get when you mix awesome English band Depeche Mode with Dior?

This beautifully done campaign video. Originally released in a short version the final, long version will steal your heart. I know it did mine.

Being a contributor and writer in the Fashion industry has its perks. One of said perks being I can go to NYFW and witness the amazing designers debut their collections. No I’m not just trying to make you jealous (maybe a little). I’m actually talking about the FW 2013-2014 collection shown by the very talented Elliot Giffs.

Labeled ‘Never Forever’ it premiered this year NYFW in Feb for Fall/Winter 2013. I don’t know where Elliot Giffis has been hiding because his collection was amazingly unique and high fashion.

Seeing this menswear collection was refreshing. It tickled my freak chic fashion bone by being something akin to ninja gear for a metro sexual. Although most collections that are shown at NYFW usually show a bit more of an Americanized style, his reflects more of an international quality.

This campaign video, by Louis Vuitton, is beautiful, chic, naughty, sexual and deliciously done.

Supposedly, and hear this by proxy of the HuffPost, feminist’ are up in arms about it due to it ‘glamorizing prostitution’. Being a feminist and being a strong-willed little fire starter myself I don’t buy the hype. It is sex, sex with a side of sexy. It also mad me really want the lingerie collection for AW 2013.

I love how designers are doing editorial video’s these days. They have canned the hyped-up artistic view and started to get strangely fun and creative.

Take Lanvin’s new campaign video. Although it screams hot, sexy fashion Alber Elbaz decided to have some fun and do a commentary Skype style. Making Lanvin’s new campaign not just luscious preening models, but a little more interesting insight into a creative designers mind.

In Case You Missed It, Calvin Klein Superbowl Ad – Concept by Calvin Klein

I swear this had was the most hilarious Superbowl I have watched in recent years. Despite Samsung’s desperate attempt to annoy us to all hell with their ad for the NEW SAMSUNG NOTE II (yeah, we got it, screw you guys), the Superbowl, the Super Beyonce blackout and almost win for the 49ers were awesome. Of course all my chili cheese dogs, queso dip topped with beer were stopped in their tracks and became guilt because of one little advertisement.

The Calvin Klein Concept advertisement with Matthew Terry. Muscles, Abs…..more abs and underwear I wanted to remove. I wanted to hit the gym, drop my Corona, and do my TV screen. Really a damn shame they only ran this once. But that is why I am here to show you the goods.

It also makes me think of trench’s and English tea. And how Victoria Beckham was banned from wearing Burberry a few years ago because it was ‘trashy, not classy’ on her.

Well payback is a bitch and we love it. The best revenge is living well and having gorgeous children. Right Victoria?

Not only did Victoria turn her life around BUT she married David Beckham and had kids.

Cute ones. So cute…..Romeo Beckham is now working as a model. And he just got his first job. Working FOR Burberry.

I love irony. It’s just wicked and funny. Also makes for great blogging!

All things said and done, Burberry and the Beckham’s mended things and are working together. So glad the Big B and the Big V aren’t in a bitch fight anymore.

It’s Not Thanksgiving Until There is a Fist Fight. Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez and Gabriel Aubry. #SMACKDOWN

Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez and Gabriel Aubry. What a lovely threesome they create. However as pretty as these three might be there is NO LOVE between them. In fact just to make Thanksgiving EXTRA special for Halle and Nahla, there was a Thanksgiving fight.

After everything this couple has been through they continue to make the worst of it. Nahla was getting dropped off when Olivier tried to ease things by saying, ‘We need to move on causing Gabriel to snap and get brutal on Olivier. We are talking full on WWE in the driveway minus the chair.

According to witnesses, Gabriel then pushed Olivier and threw a punch at his face, but Olivier blocked it and the punch struck him in the shoulder instead. We’re told Gabriel then pushed Olivier to the ground, and Olivier cold-cocked him in the face, and a struggle ensued, ending with Olivier pinning Gabriel to the ground.

In the struggle, Gabriel suffered a broken rib, contusions on his face, and possibly a more serious head injury. Olivier may have broken his hand and suffered neck injuries as well. There are conflicting accounts as to whether Gabriel was rendered unconscious in the fight.

Whoa. Damn.

The judge on the case has issued a 100 hour protective order on Aubry’s ass to stay away from Halle, Olivier and cute little Nahla. Specifics are still hazy because most of the shit talking argument was in French. This is why it’s important to learn another language folks.

In the end Aubry was booked by the police and then taken to the ER where he was placed right down the hall from Olivier who gave HIM the worst smack down of his life. Irony much?

I cannot see this looking good for Aubry or Nahla. Too bad it had to end this way. Do you think the judge will reconsider Halle’s move to France now? I would say she has a good case because Gabriel Aubry just shot himself in the pretty little Italian loafer.

Chris Brown Get’s Signed to Wilhelmina Models? #badjoke

Controversial, thug, violent, actor, producer, chart topper, rapper, singer.

Love him or hate him Chris Brown has captured our attention for years. His mommy calls him an ‘Angel’ and the bloggers call him the devil.

Despite antics like busting a window and ‘Good Morning’ and Rhianna’s face, Chris Browns public has stuck by him. His career is not only powerful but so is his presence. Now Chris Brown has managed to top it all off by becoming a fashion/modeling icon. Wilhelmina Models, based out of NYC, has signed Chris Brown.

What the what?!! Admittedly the man has great body art and works out, but I will not be blinded by his pretty pectoral muscles. His actions over the years make him straight thug.

So why him and why his face? According to WWD;

Taylor Hendrich, director of Wilhelmina’s men’s division, told WWD, “Chris Brown is a… multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand.”

Translated from Marketing/PR speak that means, he is worth a lot of money.

I can see that. He has also emerged as quite a brand leader and is ‘sort of’ cleaning up his act. The 2009 incidence with Rhianna is in the past and Chiris Brown has been acting and Producing since 2001. With gold records and an entertainment career, this is the right move fiscally to build a small empire. ( I can hear Kanye having a fish sticks fit over this as we speak.)

I hope Wilhelmina knows what they are doing. They need to bring out the suave in CB and make him shine. If anyone can make Chris Brown into a gentlemen, Wilhelmina models can.

Everyone love’s an Angel. I’m talking about the bootie shaking kind with extra sexy bra’s of course. Everyone like’s THAT kind of Angel.

Thankfully, it is that time of year again. If you can’t make the show in NYC, which tapes tonight, they have plenty of bootie/boobie shaking online and on TV….but NOT until December, 4th 2012!!!
