You cannot do better than hiring the geniuses that are Mert & Marcus in my book of people to shoot models. Their campaigns are brilliant, full of life, always sexy and trump the competition.
This September Mert & Marcus have taken over the cover of ‘Interview’ magazine to shoot the top supermodels in the industry. In a series of seven different covers depicting each model solo and in black & white the pictorial is striking. Inside you will find revealing confessionals from runway goddess featured. From Naomi to Daria to Linda you cannot miss buying ‘Interview’, even if it’s only for their covers.
Cara Delevigne is one of the most sought after models in the industry right now.
With her 21st birthday coming on the 21st Cara talks with W magazine about modeling, dreams, her family and just plain Cara (think awkward confessional). She sheds some truthful light on who she is in this beautiful pictorial by W magazine. All eyebrows and awkwardness Cara Delevigne is embracing her inner uncool fool. With her insane Instagram that rivals most and love for drums Cara gets raw. Exposing herself to be simple, creative, extroverted, adventurous (sometimes too an extreme) and sometimes just down right lewd. Cara bares all in this gorgeous 15 picture editorial.
Is there anything Mario Testino can not twist into magnificence? The answer is no, because he is pure art. Add uber model Catherine McNeil and you have an enchanting editorial for British Vogue called ‘Prima Donna’.
Thankfully, Models.com posted said editorial in full. Styled by the very talented Lucinda Chambers, Catherine looks beyond stunning and Mario Testino’s artistic ways have yet again, stolen my heart. It is a shoot full of noir, the romantic and has an air of perfect grace. Truly a trump for British Vogue’s September issue.
Beyond the clothing and make up this shoot came out so stunning it took my breath away. I had to post it. Enjoy the ethereal works of Testino and the Cat.
As Cyndi Lauper tackles Broadway with her new notorious musical ‘Kinky Boots’ her gorgeous face is everywhere. Not only has she scored a lead on Broadway but she also conquered a photo shoot as MAC’s new ‘Viva Glam’ spokeswhore with an almost nude, very skinny, Lady Gaga.
Check out these two new photo shoots of Cyndi Lauper looking too fabulous for everyone (including Gaga)!
Yes! That’s right! I’m having plastic surgery. No not on my fabulous face. This time it’s just a revamp of the site. New themes, colors, drop down menu’s and even ad space (get out your wallets kiddies)!!
Posts will continue as usual but instead of the drab ole free theme you are staring at I am getting fancy and upgrading to a kinder, simpler, and more fun HeathyrWolfe.com. Guest Bloggers, photo galleries of everything you never wanted to see. Oh, and event coverage. I know you loooove red carpets and Hollywood weirdos.
Soo Joo took the cover this month of Vogue Japan presenting something the Japanese have been celebrating for thousands of year. Gorgeous Asian women and martial arts.
Add an editorial by the talented Hyea Won Kang, with Soo Joo in black and white designs with classic martial art poses. The talent, the supermodel and a very cool take on exercise is a win win for Vogue Japan. (I must learn Japanese!)
Classic tradition meets modern monochrome. And as you all know who do read this I am all about modern monochrome.
I am very proud to say I am Swedish. My Grandmother came over from Goteborg, Sweden (pronounced yotee-boree if you can believe it) in the 1920’s and passed on her heritage and awesome cheekbones to my mother and I. So when you see a mad genius like Patrick Demarchelier do a shoot for Scandinavia SSAW Magazine with our favorite Swedish supermodel, Frida Gustavsson, and super sexy Dane, Josephine Skriver, I HAVE TO share.

Saint Laurent recently revamped from the iconic Yves Saint Laurent to….Saint Laurent thanks to creative director Heidi Slimane. (Read more HERE)
With a fashion house this iconic it was a daring decision and perhaps could have been a pitfall. However with a super power in the industry like (Yves) Saint Laurent they refuse to let simple things, such as a change in name, ruin a platinum reputation.
Enter Heidi Slimane. Iconic fashion & music photographer and mad genius. Add Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Ariel Pink of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. All as mad, strange and beautiful as the new house of Saint Laurent, and Heidi Slimane.
Create a campaign using all of the above rock icon’s from the ’90’s, and you have perfection with side of hardcore only Slimane is keyed into. And one beautiful campaign.
See the new faces of Saint Laurent below as captured by Heidi Slimane.
I love it when classy actors and artists get trashy for magazine covers. It show’s they have a sense of humor. That and she looks smoking hot!
It seems little Hermione aka Emma Watson, is all grown up and kicking ass doing movies that are very NOT Harry Potter related. Seems he also like’s the independent film (like Mr. Radcliffe). Who wouldn’t after starring in kids movies for most of your teen, tween and adolescence years. Sounds like they are the UK’s version of a Disney kid’s.
Ms. Watson has indeed grown up and is not only smoking hot on the cover of GQ but is taking on a role’s that will blow your mind. Ok, maybe not but this time she is playing a Hollywood rich-bitch bad girl in the ‘Bling Ring’. Her character is a far cry from Emma and Hermione. And according to Emma, detestable.
“When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it’s become to our society, I had to do it,” Watson told the magazine. “The character is everything that I felt strongly against – she’s superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She’s all of these things and I realized that I hated her.”
“How do you play someone you hate?” Watson asked. “But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be.”
The movie is kind of, sort of, based on real life happenings. A bunch of rich teens decided to go rip off and steal from their neighbors in a series of real life heist’s In the Hollywood Hills. People like Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and our beloved drug addict Lilo got hit. Oh and it got covered in Vanity Fair. Apparently, yes they got caught. This movie would be meh BUT, thankfully, Sofia Coppola is directing it. That means it should be a fun, sweet, touching and messed up all in one happy little bundle.
Enjoy the trailer below while you drool over Emma above.
Dear Lord. As if we don’t have enough celebrity gossip.
Haaaaay! I’m Craaaay!
Amanda Bynes is fueling the fire. Seem’s someone has joined the it’s not drugs its just mental instability train. With a recent move to NYC Bynes crazy that was limited to DUI’s, and club nights in Hollywood have escalated to eviction notices, wig changing and drugs that are illegal in the US.
That’s right. Let’s start at the beginning of some of the erratic behavior. First we had the ‘I’m retired, no I’m not’ stint. Then we moved on to MULTIPLE car crashes and a big fat DUI. Feeling judged Ms. Bynes decided to up and leave the land of LALA to go to NYC. Then she really fell down the rabbit hole.
Ms. Bynes moved into an Manhattan apartment where she frequently left her door not just unlocked (asking to be murdered in NYC is leaving your door unlocked) but wide open. There, her neighbors saw she had changed all the light bulbs to red. Her apartment was also constantly filled with smoke. If you say just cigarettes I say liar. Hard rugs always make you chain smoke if you are a smoker so my guess is she liked to ‘party’.
An eviction notice was to be served but she moved before the landlord had a chance.
Then, the star had kept mostly to her Twitter posting photos of her in every wig known to drag queens. Unfortunately she recently moved her crazy to a profile with US Weekly listing the 25 things you don’t (want) to know about her.
The 5’8 star says she has a goal to lose weight because gains it quickly. After all she is a HUGE 121 lbs.
Her goal is 100 lbs. Yeah, really. Wigs and car crashes may be ‘funny’, but the rest is out of control.
Ms. Bynes is on the health afflicted ‘Accutane’ for her skin, which is illegal in the US.
Not that many remember but this stuff was so damn bad for you it was YANKED of the shelves for causing birth defects, rectal bleeding, purple spots under the skin, jaundice, bloody stools, bone fracture and in more severe cases Crones Disease and ulcerative colitis.
It also has some side effects that include erratic behavior, depression and suicidal thoughts. You have to wonder if all this is hard drugs or may just be an illegal acne medicine.
Either way, I’ll take blackheads any day over looking like this.
Vogue. Addiction. The bible. However you want to label it, it’s name alone comes with a hefty reputation.
I am pleased to see that Vogue Thailand is living up to that rep, by hiring the first male Editor-in-Chief, Kullawit Laosuksri. First male editor for Vogue, ever. In the world.
Starting things off with a bang Kullawit decided commission Phillip Treacy, extraordinary haberdasher to the fashion elite (oh and the Gaga) to help him with the cover. According to Nation’s interview with the pint-sized super editor;
For the Thai edition, we also want to present Thai women’s cheerful attitude and lifestyle. For the first issue we wanted a chada [the traditional tall coronet], which is internationally recognised and has a sophisticated design. We searched the archives of the master of the craft, Chakrabhan Posayakrit, and then asked Phillip Treacy, a world-renowned maker of headdresses, to create a chada we could display on our cover.
Bravo! excellent start. Unfortunately Thai Vogue is working with the smallest budget out of all the Vogue magazine’s in the world. If this is what Vogue Thai is starting at the gate with I may have to pick up an issue to support. I do have faith that the smallest are the fiercest and can make something out of nothing. Cough…I speak from experience.
Here is hoping that Kullawit is knowledgeable and ambidextrous as an editor. Also that there are some damn good advertisers. Vogue lives off that money!
I just got my stats sheet from thsi year and wanted to thank all you of you crazy, fun sick and wild readers out there. Without you, this blog is nothing.
Look for more fun in 2013 as I return with Fashion, Lifestyle, Entertainment and of course a full functioning website.
Here’s what the stats monkey got me for Christmas
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 100,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
It seem’s no matter how nice you go about it, saying eff you to the man is still a reason to assault innocent protesters How innocent are we talking? This year Austin, TX arrested…SANTA!!
This year Occupy protesters wanted to share good will and do something nice for the children.
Yesterday, Occupy Austin participant James Peterson decided to head down to the Capitol Building and hand out colored chalk to children to celebrate the holidays in a fun, non-violent way. The kids of course LOVED it. They drew things like ‘PEACE” and “JOY’ and ‘SANTA’ . So CUTE!
Because this is highly illegal (sidewalk chalk baaaaad)3 DPS cops ran down Santa and his helpers. They then threw him to the ground, face down, and arrested him.
To add insult and destroy the Christmas spirit for the kids, they also stripped of his Santa suit against a police car and 4 cops frisked him. In public.
Way to go Austin Police Department. This year you won’t JUST be getting coal in your stocking, but dog poo as well. Do you know how much your children hate you right now? Expect an emancipation order in your stocking when they hit 18.
Didn’t they watch ‘Miracle on 34th street’? Everyone knows you don’t mess with Santa!
Here’s hoping they are kind to him, drop charges and set him free ASAP. We’re rooting for you James Peterson, and Santa is too!
Over here at Heathyr Wolfe.com I am a big fan of leaked pics. Especially nudes! Why? Because if it’s done properly it’s fashionable, artistic and eye opening. Or perhaps because it’s eye opening and sordid. Either way it’s a win!
About a year ago Lady Gaga got fierce and worked the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan in a meat dress with stunning results. PETA was horrified, the public was outraged, either by the misuse of meat or by the wasting of good steak.
Years later a BDSM, Shibari rope shoot are leaked. Why? Possibly for publicity. Maybe cause Gaga gained a few pounds and wants the public to remember her as a skinny bitch likes S&M and meat dresses. We’ll never know.
These are from 2009. They a bondage shoot with photographer Nobuyoshi Araki for Vogue Nippon and they are super RAWR, sexy and candid.
Either way here is the FULL nude-y gallery of Lady Gaga doing Kinbaku (ancient Japanese rope work artistry with a sexual twist)
Of Course this is NSFW and 18+, Click the link to views the Nude Gaga giving her candid sexy Monster face;
