Ride to Feed @ Soul Cycle 4/21, Sunset Plaza, Time to Give Back Angelenos! #Exercise #Charity #MealsonWheels

I f you haven’t given to charity this year, here’s your chance to become a key player in philanthropy in Los Angeles.

The awesome folks over at Michelle PR sent me this. Being a huge fan of charitable causes I wanted to share this, suggest it and push strongly that you go and partake.

The drive is for ‘Meals on Wheels’, which, I have actually donated to thankyouverymuch.

Meals on Wheels was created to distribute a nice, healthy, hot meal to Senior Citizens who are home-bound and can’t prepare food or go to the market themselves in Los Angeles county. We’re talking about the your grandparents here so PAY ATTENTION.

The event will take place on April 21st. There are two ways you can help

1) Be a rider. The great part is riders get free schwag bags that include;

a Junk Food tee,

Which we adore being fashion addicts on this site,

a Cart for a Cause Cook Book, a St. Vincent Meals on Wheels angel pin and more for taking time to raise awareness for this important cause. Are you hooked? I am!

2) Be an attendee. With celebrity chef, Michael Fiorelli hosting this, you know you want to go. Tickets are $50 and that is a small amount to give for a charity. Because charity is AWESOME (and tax deductible)

In the past charitable events have raised enough money to distribute 25,000 meals a year for ‘Meals on Wheels’ so yes, you will be making a difference. If you can’t be a rider there is hope for you. You can attend this event by buying tickets on eventbrite HERE;

However, I am a woman on the go. I need to look smashing while being a little functional. Nothing says business like a black leather brief a la bag. I need a purse that screams business bitch, yet charms the man I am with.

This is functional, classy and is wearable for casual dates with jeans and those^ heels (Imena has my heart). According to a ‘source’ that contacted UsWeekly the couple are back together. Rihanna and Chris Brown are still ‘having issues’ aka fighting like horny cats and dogs, but are trying to make it work. Rihanna recently performed in Los Angeles for her ‘Diamonds’ tour and got all cryptic again. We guess she was talking about her uber love/hate relationship with a certain brother with the initials C and B.

Marc Jacobs is sitting pretty in his 50th year, celebrating his birthday this year, which is April 9th), by releasing his new fragrance pour homme, “BANG”. The title says it all.

Sitting pretty is right.

Over the years Marc Jacobs has given us fashion, fosse (90’s), fatty(mid 2000’s) and now ripped to the gills and fabulous 50.

With the release of Bang, Marc decided to show of his gorgeous sculpted body in his new fragrance ad. He also recently began tweeting pics of himself on twitter and instagram, looking too fit for words. What does this mean? It means Marc isn’t slowing down but plans on wearing more man kilts, lace dresses and showing us what he is made of a la Karl Lagerfeld. Who says age is a drawback? It’s looking mighty fine to me.

It’s Spring in Los Angeles and that means it’s time to get everyone’s freak on. Clothes come off, pool’s are in use, blond bunnies are sunbathing everywhere and Halle Berry is knocked up.

First off I want to wish Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry a HUGE congratulations! It couldn’t happen to a happier couple. They really do love each other and as we learned earlier this year, Martinez will fight for his love. Halle is a very lucky woman. Next I want to send congrats to Nahla. She’s about to be a big sister to a very lucky kid and will have someone cool to play with. We wish her luck on her big sis duties.

This is definitely one union that everyone can be happy about. Except Gabriel Aubry. He’s probably weeping in a corner with a bottle of something about now.

Kick -Ass 2 is Upon Us! #Trailer #Video #Booyah

OMGOMGOMG…Kick-Ass 2 is coming out and my inner geek girl can barely handle it.

First off I have to admit to my personal love affair with Chloe Moretz.

She is the business, and I can only hope every 16-year-old out there is taking notes on how to be awesome from her. She conquered the movie Kick-Ass, by being super cool at only 12 years old, but also managed to steal the movie from Nick Cage and Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass). Then she moved on to 30Rock where she whooped Jack Donehy’s ass several rounds, corporate style.

Now, at 16, she is the center of Kick-Ass 2 and is OWNING IT. Add an all-star cast including Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca (pickle fork girl from Hot Tub Time Machine/ TV’s Nikita), John Leguizamo and one of my other personal favorites, Donald Faison.

I love it when classy actors and artists get trashy for magazine covers. It show’s they have a sense of humor. That and she looks smoking hot!

It seems little Hermione aka Emma Watson, is all grown up and kicking ass doing movies that are very NOT Harry Potter related. Seems he also like’s the independent film (like Mr. Radcliffe). Who wouldn’t after starring in kids movies for most of your teen, tween and adolescence years. Sounds like they are the UK’s version of a Disney kid’s.

Ms. Watson has indeed grown up and is not only smoking hot on the cover of GQ but is taking on a role’s that will blow your mind. Ok, maybe not but this time she is playing a Hollywood rich-bitch bad girl in the ‘Bling Ring’. Her character is a far cry from Emma and Hermione. And according to Emma, detestable.

“When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it’s become to our society, I had to do it,” Watson told the magazine. “The character is everything that I felt strongly against – she’s superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She’s all of these things and I realized that I hated her.”

“How do you play someone you hate?” Watson asked. “But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be.”

The movie is kind of, sort of, based on real life happenings. A bunch of rich teens decided to go rip off and steal from their neighbors in a series of real life heist’s In the Hollywood Hills. People like Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and our beloved drug addict Lilo got hit. Oh and it got covered in Vanity Fair. Apparently, yes they got caught. This movie would be meh BUT, thankfully, Sofia Coppola is directing it. That means it should be a fun, sweet, touching and messed up all in one happy little bundle.

Since I am a firm believer in NOT celebrating April Fool’s Day I thought it only fitting I give you something that is true.

True Blood that is.

Yes, True Blood Season 6 promo trailer has been released, and it looks like the writer’s went back to their roots. No sparkling, lot’s of blood, sex and lots of weird. Vampires, fairies and brujas oh my!. Add a few burning buildings and a really pissed off Billith, it seems we are back in business.
But wait. No we aren’t. Here’s the kicker. Season 6 of True Blood doesn’t start until frigging June 13th. And the season will be extra short with a rumored 10 episodes. WTH?
Until then will be forced to watch network TV (except Game of Thrones).

No Billith for you.

Chris Brown and Rihanna split, AGAIN #Seriously #StuntQueens

It seems music’s favorite train wreck couple has split up AGAIN.

This week Chris Brown announced on Power 106 that he and Rihanna had finished their on again off again roller coaster relationship.

When asked about his Barbadian rockstar girlfriend and if they were still together, he answered

“Uh no — that’s the short answer.”

Brown stated Rihanna was not the problem, and he was grateful for what he did have with her. He was thankful Rihanna was kind enough to forgive and love him despite the abusive relationship that surfaced in 2009, and that she made him ‘a better man’.

Brown told Ryan Seacrest in an interview with KIIS-FM radio (earlier in the week) that he takes full responsibility for the assault in 2009, saying that he is “eternally grateful” to Rihanna for forgiving him.

“I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident,” he explained, continuing, “and that time was probably the worst part of my life and being that she has and she’s a wonderful person I’m eternally grateful and thankful.”

Hmmmm. Sounds like a publicist talking. My thoughts? If Chris Brown had tried to be the best man possible, he wouldn’t have hit her in the first place.

So, is the split real or another PR stunt to keep us guessing. Yesterday, Rihanna seemed to be eluding that it was finished on her side too. She re-tweeted an emotional quote from @PiscesareUs that said;

Its the heart of a #Pisces that makes us soft mannered BUT is that same heart of a #Pisces that will make us get in your ass if needed

Hooray! Let us pray that our sweet little songbird ditched him for good. She needs freedom and a healthy relationship and Chris Brown is NOT it. Although Rihanna took her tweet down quickly from Twitter, it sounds like she is sick of having to be on CB’s ass (partying w ex gf’s, models, etc). Maybe she finally is seeing through his BS.

On a nicer note, Brown and Rihanna make better music when they aren’t with each other anyway. Here’s wishing they go parted ways amicably. And this time it’s permanently. Stick to your guns kids. We don’t need another Bobbi and Whitney.

I have seen a million campaign ad’s for fashion houses. Some are well done and some, complete crap. Some have artistic quality and some are just lewd.

This campaign video, by Louis Vuitton, is beautiful, chic, naughty, sexual and deliciously done.

Supposedly, and hear this by proxy of the HuffPost, feminist’ are up in arms about it due to it ‘glamorizing prostitution’. Being a feminist and being a strong-willed little fire starter myself I don’t buy the hype. It is sex, sex with a side of sexy. It also mad me really want the lingerie collection for AW 2013.

LeAnn Rimes HIts Fashion Low, Just Made Me #TeamBrandi

Searching through today and yesterday’s news I came across this picture. Supposedly it’s LeAnn Rimes taking Eddie C’s son to his little league game.

And it stopped me cold.

First I would like to say that LeAnn Rimes is looking unrecognizable. Her face has turned into a catastrophe from plastic surgery and sadly, starving herself. I seriously with Eddie Cibrian would step forward and help his withering wife. If she’s going to be a step-mother to his children and he cares AT ALL he will take the time to do something and help her. Obviously this is a moot point.

Now let’s analyze what’s wrong here (besides her starting to look like a cat woman).

The sports long sleeve sweater is fine. If it were paired with ANYTHING else. In the entire world. I could give her a pass but not only is this incredibad, but elf booties? Those were hot on the runway about 2-3 years ago. A passing fad I am thankful most people avoided. The fakin’ vinyl/leather 80’s runner shorts, I have no comment for. They should be burned….immediately. Accessories? A white leather hobo bag and a gold bracelet that go with nothing she is wearing.

The whole thing is just a mess and anyone who has ever had a stylist should know this. Especially LeAnn.

My hope is Brand Glanville grabs her son and takes him away before LeAnn traumatizes him with her terrible fashion sense. Think about the children!
